Levels of Care
Our admissions team will work with you to explore the right payment options based on your needs, ensuring you get the best possible treatment.
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Some primary care providers offer mental health diagnosis and treatment. This can prevent patients from developing more serious conditions.
Substance use and mental health can occur simultaneously as co-occurring disorders. Treatment for co-occurring disorders involves therapy and other personalized interventions to address both conditions.

Many thanks to Natasha for helping us today! She was so kind, patient and professional. We appreciate you Natasha!
I was required to take an IOP class when I came to Wilmington in 2012 (a requirement for the halfway house ) The change's in the last 14 yrs have been drastic. I've continued in counseling for addiction & mental health issues At one point they were about helping addicts stay clean & gave information about groups that could help maintain their new lifestyle. Their goals are on maintenance programs now Keeping the addict locked in a medical addiction for profits to the facility & pharmaceutical companies It's really sad that the addicts being treated are blocked from true freedom ( addict in recovery since 10/18/11)
The people responsible for the scheduling are completely unqualified for the job they're supposed to do. They've made the same mistake 2 times in a row concerning simple lab work. Mistakes happen, but not being willing to admit their mistakes is unacceptable. Stay away from this place unless you're ok with inept people wasting your time.
Coastal Horizons completely failed my family. The therapist, Lauren Fowler, ignored clear parental direction, violated a custody order, and lied to me when confronted about her actions. Supervisors were informed and did nothing—one even told staff to treat my child as a boy at one home and a girl at the other. That’s unethical, harmful, and shows zero accountability. I withdrew consent for them to have any contact with my child. I would never recommend this organization to any family seeking honest, professional care.
Waited hours to fill out paperwork and e-paperwork at the office. Told assessment would be days later. Day of assessment the provider doesn’t send a link, so I called the office who said they had no contact info to call the provider but that they would send a message to the provider with my number. Several hours later, still no response from the office or the provider. Disheartening experience that leaves you feeling hopeless.
For over a year I have had to deal with being told different things regarding my treatment. The front desk will say they can’t schedule the appointment and send me to someone’s voicemail. I never get a call back, so a week or two goes by and I call and oh, look at that! The front desk can schedule the appointment! Life happens and I miss an appointment. Once again, the game of being sent to a voicemail that nobody ever checks apparently. Considering the scope of care, these games could very well be leading someone to lose their life because of the lack of training at the front desk, the office staff overall, and the providers. I would highly recommend you to look for treatment elsewhere. I genuinely believe that there needs to be a revamp of the entire facility, but what do I know - I’m just a (now former) patient who has had to deal with these issues. I am still waiting for a call back from the therapist after leaving a voicemail because she emailed the doctor for medication that I need to update paperwork. Which, from my knowledge, I had updated. I had scheduled an appointment two months prior - and in that two months nobody thought to call and mention that I need to have MORE paperwork updated BEFORE the appointment? Don’t even waste your time, because they WILL waste yours. If I had the patience to file a complaint with the medical board I would.
This Place helps so many
Lauren and Kristen are terrible and not sympathetic at all. Spent a long time here and there was no compassion or outreach and made zero progress. I actually got worse. i was told "just get committed" i would call the center and nobody would return my phonecall. This is the worst place ever, specializing only in writing prescriptions and drug addiction. If you have any mental health issues go anywhere else to see a caring psychologist.
