The initial nurse (Terry?) and nurse practitioner (Dr. Theresa Ottman) were both rude. We were 5 minutes late due to leaving my autistic son's counseling. My son was struggling to express himself during her depression screening. He kept looking to me for guidance as well as being nervous. Her tone of voice was not accomodating for an autistic.. it shows she has no adequate training or empathy skills. Theresa Ottman was so argumemative and seemed to be more worried on going through a generialized checklist to hurry up and get through the interview that my son did not feel respected and I felt she was not interested in DETAILS rather her focus was on formality and routine asking of generic questions that require detailed responses since my son is not my biological son since I found him homeless after his father went to prison for all aspects of abuse imaginable..even that one no one wants to discuss or talk about. Susan at the front desk and the facility superviser Brooke were empathetic and also LISTENED. We are brand new to this facility, already used the mobile crisis unit the day after we did the initial asessment.

Had a visit that I called to cancel a week in advance get counted against me for the missed appointment limit, because they failed to actually cancel it…When I pointed this out, I was told nothing could be done about it because it was “policy,” and I should’ve been more diligent about making my appointments. I called to cancel in advance. I gave a whole week of notice. And it wasn't canceled. And somehow that counts against me? This is your mistake, not mine. Do better. Too many telehealth-only options, not enough in-person ones.

Daymark in Boone was an amazing help today. They got us in quickly when we called and talked to them as we were trying to get in anywhere. Debbie and the entire front office we welcoming and absolutely amazing taking time to check on us even after the provider had seen us. It is difficult having you child so far from home at school and needing to talk to someone and these ladies were amazing and so helpful. I am extremely impressed with Daymark in Boone and the staff and provider my child met. Highly recommend just from my interaction with the staff.

Daymark recovery has been very helpful and supportive through my addiction and mental health issues. I highly recommend their services to others facing these problems and know that you can find the light in your life again.
