6 years sober now thank you staff was incredible .

I have been in recovery for 6.5 years. I went to Marworth for the first time in 2016 and should have listened and stayed. I ended going back in 2020 when I was ready to change and they helped me so much and inspired me to become a substance abuse counselor. If it was not for the staff and my peers, I met through my stay at Marworth idk if I would be here today. I highly recommend Marworth if you are truly ready to put the work in, for a comfortable detox and supportive road to recovery.

A great place if you can afford it. I was loving my time but unfortunately the second my insurance refused to pay anymore they treated me like absolute shit. I was a patient at Marworth beginning on December 30th until I was discharged on January 15th because my insurance refused to cover me anymore. I wanted to start by talking about the good. There are so many incredible speakers there who speak from the heart and have a way of saying things that can break through to the addict and be exactly what they need to hear in order to get better. Bob in particular (Young Bob, tall and bald) was one of the most intelligent and passionate speakers that I’ve encountered. It was a treasure getting to listen to him every single day that I was there and it was also a treat when he cooked in the kitchen. I learned so much in my time there and did everything I could to make the most of it. I honestly felt like I had come in out of the wilderness into the warmth that I needed in order to get better again. I felt and knew in my heart that I was exactly where I needed to be and my troubled soul was finally on the right path. Unfortunately I was notified on Wednesday night this week that my insurance had cut me off and was only going to cover the first two weeks of my stay there, and I would be responsible for covering the remaining weeks, which being a drug addicted laborer, I did not have the funds for. Deeply stressed out and unsure I spoke with one of the speakers there, who told me that they have a team of people upstairs who can fight with the insurance companies and also that scholarships were available. This reassured me that I wasn’t just going to be kicked out the following day. However the next day I was called into the finance office, and when I mentioned these possibilities to Gail the finance woman, she couldn’t offer me any information or resources what so ever. I was in a state of extreme depression and pain, unable to think, the place who was so kind to me for the past two weeks was now turning its back on me. Gail only cared about talking me into a payment plan, which I was in no state of mind to deal with at the moment. I reluctantly agreed to a payment plan in order to get out of that office and away from her, in fear that she would kick me out right then and there if I didn’t. I was in a state of extreme depression and sorrow and my head was filled with a darkness that I hadn’t felt since stepping into the building. I desperately needed someone to talk to for help, but my councilor Brandy wasn’t even there that day, the one who knew me and my problems the most. This was a shock to me because she was supposed to be there that day because we had set up a family session with my mom for that day. Instead I was taken to a lady named Ann who I had never spoken to before and who hadn’t any idea about me or my situation. And I have to say she was extremely rude to me and was not helpful at all, when I brought up the thing about fighting the insurance company or scholarship, she rudely informed me that since I had agreed to the payment plan I wouldn’t be eligible for any scholarship, which would have been nice to know before being talked into signing onto the financial plan. I just felt horribly mistreated and tricked, and my councilor wasn’t even there to help me through this. I was rushed out the doors and back into the world. And I have to say, I just have so much emotional whiplash from the whole ordeal and I do not appreciate how I was treated. I understand that this is a business and that you can’t give anyone a free pass, but how I was treated and rushed out the door was beyond rude, it was degrading and I’m still depressed from it. We are addicts. We need to be treated with more care than that. I just thought Marworth of all places would understand that. I thought you all genuinely cared about me. I’m very fortunate that I have the mental fortitude to not use this an excuse to go out and use, but I think for a lot of people this would have destroyed them.

Marworth was truly a great place. I don't mean a fun and good time place. I mean a great place to learn about my addiction. The staff and counselors are some of the best. I've been to treatment before and didn't get it. I can not say I got it this time or not. It's still to early to tell. But they gave me the tools to get it right. Thank you marworth.

Where do I begin? Not only was this my first-ever rehabilitation experience, but it was also the most eye-opening experience I have ever had. I was uncertain about what to expect and, ultimately, I made the best decision possible. The staff, whom I refer to as specialists, made me feel immediately at home, and my counselor, Mike, went above and beyond in his duties. The facility offers numerous perks, including exceptional cuisine, impeccable grounds, and a spectacular overall atmosphere. I must note that the nurses are exceedingly polite and attentive to their patients' needs, although I did find it somewhat disappointing that doctor visits were limited to only once. Personally, I did not experience any significant issues during my stay, aside from one supervisor who, I discovered, was not particularly friendly to either patients or staff. One of the highlights of the facility is the presence of Monarch butterflies, which are hatched on-site. Deb, one of the specialists, consistently displayed a warm and welcoming smile that brightened everyone's day. Marworth offers a wide range of activities to keep patients engaged, as well as tailored treatment plans for individuals requiring additional support. I commend the facility on its outstanding work.

Food was good. That was the only good thing about It. I went on Friday of Memorial Day weekend and was told I couldn’t speak to a therapist until Tuesday so for the days I stayed there they had about 2 helpful meetings the rest of the time they just told us to have free time the only thing I learned is that you can play cornhole without beer. The nurses expect you to read everything your first day there instead of being helpful and explaining It to you. And then if you want to leave you will have a specialist basically tell you that he thinks you are going to relapse. They 100% care more about filling beds than the actual wellbeing of the patients under there care. Also It is freezing in the rooms and they don’t seem to care at all. Lack of sleep is a main reason for relapse and they don’t make It comfortable at all to sleep It was about 55 degrees I’d say had to sleep in 3 shirts and a hoodie and 3 blankets. Do not go here if you want good care

Best time of my life..I would go back if I could for a meeting..Best staff and community bar none. I will never forget this place ever.

overall a decent quality rehab. the good: the food is pretty good, grounds and building are beautiful, and some of the counselors are very understanding. the yoga, music and outdoor programs are EXCELLENT. the bad: they dont turn on the ac until well into summer and it can get around 81 degrees in the rooms when you’re try to get some rare and therapeutic sleep. lack of sleep is a serious factor in recovery and can push you into the relapse zone. some of the counseling sessions are awkward, cold and completely lacking in human empathy. some, not all. i was prescribed gabapentin at marworth after i told the doctors i had been on lyrica for almost a year. after taking gabapentin, the combination of the two medications made me severely ill for about two months. i reported this but never got a response - doctors had refused to offer me an alternative or really to discuss this matter. im pretty sure they dont really care.
