In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Licensed primary mental health facilities provide specialized care for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. By offering early intervention and comprehensive services, they promote overall well-being and prevent long-term complications.
Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.

They really don’t care. They will throw you out even if you aren’t doing well. They should be shut down.

I was put into the inpatient psych ward back in 2021 and this place taught me self harm and a lot of other bad habits. Dont go here, its just not worth it. If you are considering sending someone here just get them a therapist, it might help more

The sole group therapist spent the whole week telling the kids about God and Christianity. He insisted that the purpose of life is to serve God. This is not advertised as a religious facility, and there's nothing therapeutic about proselytizing, especially when some of the kids are from other religious backgrounds (there was at least one Muslim kid in the group -- can't see what therapeutic good it does for an authority figure to suggest the kid is betraying the therapist's God). My 11 year old, who is atheist, was not particularly helped by this. Beyond this unprofessionalism, the program is very disorganized -- social worker was entirely unclear about the discharge plan and did not know kid's age. Bus often shows up an hour late for transport. Lot of sitting around doing nothing. absolutely ZERO individual therapy, so really all you're getting is the religious indoctrination stuff. My kid, who had made two suicide attempts, was discharged with no checks about whether she was actively suicidal or practicing self-harm. It's pretty terrifying. More trivially, the food is really awful (just sugar, fat, fries, meat, served with sugary drinks) and they never go outside (it's in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere). If I weren't feeling bad before I got there, this would be enough to make anybody feel pretty awful in their mental health. Very depressing that kids are being "treated" like this.

My experience was like being in a building of kids from school you know you'll never see again because they'll end up in jail or become hermits. Atleast a third of the kids anyways. I made some friends on my 10 day stay which i cant get in contact with because well, i was sent away to a school out in utah for a year after i was evaluated hear and either the kids switched numbers moved as recommended by the facility or something else. Staff didnt know why i was their because i wasnt violant or rude, i actually tried to make friends and help staff get on with their schedule but that almost provoked my first roomate to fight me. Btw he was the same kid who stole my underware and then asked if i wanted them back as he showed me he was wearing them. Needless to say i switched rooms within the first 2 days and had no problems with my other two roommate's for the rest of my stay. Anyways i say all that the kids hear arent all bad and actually i didnt think half of these kids needed to be hear. It was obvious that a third of these kids were not taught how to act properly and that was a fault of their parents. This is not a place to send kids who need better parenting. One third had real issues and their cases were too complicated to get into but they also had issues with the parents and they developed bad behaviers due to the lack of authority and love in their homes. The last one third were just confused, bullied/sensitive children who cant find a place in this world of violance and substance abuse. My roomate and another nice kid i met in their are good people but they had to devolpe some attitude that they dont want because its not normal to not be like the rest of the kids in school. They were quite and didnt have too many friends because they had morels and cared about others, they werent loners by choice but out of necessity. They didn't sacrifice the quality of their beliefs and friends to fit in. For that i respected them and they respected me, so we became friends. Wish i could get in contact with some of yall but its been 9 years since than and i know you wouldnt really think to even write a review because fighting establishments like this is what got us put hear. Hope your doing well alexia and warren. Cool guy with the spanish name and Dark hair, hope you remember trying to sniff the cold hair through the cafeteria doors. And to katie the girl i gave a pen tattoo to on the play ground i thought you were adorable and tried calling but i was sent away for that year and when i called no one buy your name was on the line. Thanks mr. D for helping me and 2 of the on duty staff were cool too. The huge spanish guy who works out and the staff i tried to help by telling the other kids to stop talking over him. I understand it was your responsibility to get the kids to quite down but they were being to disrespectful and i apologize for almost starting a fight. You saw it coming befor i did.👍
