Inpatient Psychiatry at Tisch Hospital

I don't know if they have new staff but they are rude and clearly have racial bias in the people they make wait for services including my 85 yr old mom. This has never happened before and this needs to be addressed especially when you work with people of all races

The waiting time is disgustingly ridiculous, they make you wait without compassion.

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with this imaging department. It's terrible. The scheduling was completely chaotic and the staff were extremely rude. My son had two CT scans scheduled but were both cancelled without any reason. The appointment was set for 7:30 AM on Tuesday. We arrived at the hospital at 7 AM to register and wait for the scan, but a technician informed us that it had been cancelled. At first, she said that according to the instructions of the radiology doctor, she had communicated with the referring doctor and felt that my son didn't need this test for the time being. Later, she said that their imaging department couldn't perform this scan because my son was too young and needed to go to another hospital. Then she was very impatient and simply said that “you could wait here. Anyway, today it just couldn't be done. I was very busy and had to go to work. ”She walked away very rudely. We didn't know what had happened and didn't receive a reasonable explanation. There was no communication between the staff either. We called the referring doctor office the imaging department yesterday. both of the staff confirmed the appointments with us , also MYCHART kept sending us reminders to come for the scan. When reporting today， the front desk of the imaging department didn't know that there was a problem with the appointment and processed the registration anyway. Everything was absurd, yet it just happened like that. This kind of thing has happened more than once. In 2023, they handled things in this way. There were two imaging departments in the hospital, located in different buildings. When we reported to one of the imaging departments as per the notice, the staff said they couldn't perform this examination and transferred our appointment to another imaging department. We had to go to the second imaging department, only to be told that the appointment had been cancelled that day and needed to be rescheduled. Every time, they never informed the patients or gave a reasonable explanation at the last minute. They really don't care about or show concern for their patients. I feel sad and regretful that such a thing happened in such a major hospital.

I had mom taken off meds and food. She is 87. The appointment was cancelled and we were not advised!

I was scheduled a CT with contrast in February 2024. When I came for my appointment no one was able to put IV into my arm. It was Saturday, and I left after 3 attempts and rescheduled a new appointment. Next appointment was better, I asked for IV nurse, and she was able to put needle in my arm. The test was performed, but the renal masses were not visible on the image. Excretory (delayed) phase (~7–15 minutes) – Key for visualizing urothelial lining, ureters, and bladder were not performed properly, it was rushing, and nobody told me to drink a lot of water before the test. I was very disappointed, because renal masses were identified by surgeon during the surgery, not with CT.

The techs treat the patients like garbage. I give two stars for getting the scan done correctly (I hope)

I went there to do bloodwork The medical staff Britney did great job she is nice … she knows all kind of techniques not to hurt you I guess . I did not feel pain . She is tidy and clean . Her office is clean . Over all wherever places I walk those places were so clean too and front desk staff of that bloodwork lab was helpful and nice too
