My experience at McIntosh trail behavioral Health center was a good one.

The reviews here are very true. Not a good place.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! This place refuses people in a mental health crisis, and then calls the cops on them when they are trying to call their insurance company to find another place to go. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. This is not how a mental health clinic should operate or how the staff should treat people seeking help.

I’ve been going to this clinic for over a year now. I think a lot of these reviews are either for the wrong facility or from people who were going through extremely rough times when they left their reviews. I didn’t have a great experience when I first tried to become a patient at this clinic, I knew I needed to establish mental health care somewhere and had just moved to the area. To be perfectly clear, I was not my best self without my meds and took it out on the front desk staff, even though it wasn’t their fault. You CANNOT schedule an appointment to establish care over the phone. You HAVE to get there BEFORE they open on the days that they accept walk-ins. You can call to find out what days they do that or go down and talk to them in person for more information. Treat the staff with respect and you’ll get the same in return. Basic human decency. They operate based on policies, not out of spite or as a way to make your life harder. They have genuinely caring staff and exhibit professionalism during appointments.

Absolute trash. Court order mental heal evaluation for my sister. Took her up there 4 times to try to get in. They turned us around because they only do walk ins the first time. Second time: they only allow 4 walk ins a day and we were the 5th. 3rd time: they need a supervisor to accept cash payments rather than insurance. 4th time: the supervisor declined cash payment after us waiting in the parking lot since 630. Shut this place down. Reporting to bbb later today. Also, reporting to solicitors office. And we wonder why we have so many “mass shootings”. People can’t even get help.

Not very professional dirty waiting room vomit still there from 3 weeks prior won't return phone calls doesn't communicate well just plain rude

This place is the worst place in the country. They are only concerned about punishing people, taking away your freedom, making you feel less than human and treating you with no respect. The staff has the worst attitude and lack of professionalism I have every seen. I would rather due 6 months in jail than in this place. If you are a loved one is considering this facility, please DO NOT!. There are plenty of other places to choose from besides this one. You just need to take the time and call around
