Metropolitan Center for Mental Health is a non profit outpatient behavioral health center founded in 1962. They provide affordable psychological and psychiatric treatment to support emotional well being for the community. Licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, they serve individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorder, including those experiencing co occurring conditions. Pathways to Outpatient and Substance Use Care At 336 Central Park West, care is delivered through outpatient services that include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family counseling, psychological testing and assessment, and medication therapy. Their FAIR program provides outpatient substance abuse treatment addressing alcoholism and substance related problems, including services for dually diagnosed individuals. Treatment options include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, relapse prevention skills, and educational sessions. Family Focused Support and Coordinated Assessment Care includes parent counseling, play therapy, and comprehensive psychological testing and assessment to guide treatment planning. The Hispanic Family Service offers culturally sensitive care in Spanish and English. Psychiatric evaluation and medication therapy are available as part of coordinated outpatient treatment. Through structured assessment and therapeutic services, they provide support designed to address behavioral concerns, emotional challenges, and substance use recovery needs.
