The highest level of care, medically managed with 24-hour nursing and physician care in a residential or medically-based setting, and can include any combination of medication, counseling and therapy.
Licensed primary mental health facilities provide specialized care for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. By offering early intervention and comprehensive services, they promote overall well-being and prevent long-term complications.
Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.

This was my second visit to the hospital in about four years; once for stitches in a finger that I almost skinned on a broken glass, and in January 2026, for a dangerously spiked BP. To begin with, on each occasion, from the moment I tried to enter, I was courteously stopped and patted down by the female security guard who explained why an electronic scan was necessary after the alarm went off. Not many people were in the waiting room, so I was promptly processed and called into an inner office for further medical intake information, and my BP was taken and recorded. I was then taken into a small waiting room where I could lie down and recline to my comfort, while multiple hospital personnel checked my BP from time to time. I even had a doctor come in and explain that my BP had come down to a manageable number and that an IV Infusion/Drip was no longer necessary. Instead, I was given fresh prescriptions and directed to the on-site pharmacy, which they said “was more convenient than driving across town to Costco Pharmacy.” In all, I spent 2-3 hours at the hospital, very comfortable in a raised and reclined examination couch (?), but I did not mind as I was so comfortable that I even got a little nap. 😊 A heartfelt thank you to all who attended to me; I was seen by 3-4 nurses who checked on me and monitored my BP (disturbing my nap😁), a couple of administrative personnel, and finally the doctor who came in to introduce herself, explain decisions taken, and release me. I felt very special!❤️

Staff are not professional. They did not know their role like they are entitled. They will tell you I really don't know.

Maryann, Jamal, Andrew, Owen, Laura, Karen, Norris, and Malik deserve raises. They are understaffed and underpaid and that makes the entire experience strained. The hospital is running on the backs of a very few hugely competent people. Also, why does staff have to pay for parking: that is very scammy and just down right bad. I felt generally safe from harm there but the stress on everyone makes for a traumatic experience. Cleaning crew could use a little more meticulousness and bleach in general. The dieticians were receptive and did provide nutrition. Sarah the art therapist also deserves a raise she provided the safest and tranquil space the hospital had to offer in the little time she was given. The issue is obviously systemic but the administration must recognize they are dropping the ball. I don’t have logistical solutions but the dedicated workers deserve to be compensated fairly and given due time off in order to provide a peaceful environment everyone deserves. Once again, give Jamal a raise. Otherwise, there was all together too much urine, yelling, and idle time for patients that desperately need to be occupied. There was overnight construction on pipes in the mental ward in which many people already struggle with sleep—-absolute clownery. Give social worker M’keisha a raise, she’s doing so much and in such a stuffy uncomfortable office. In the words of Arthur Miller, ATTENTION MUST BE PAID.

This nurse staff is incompetent!!! Everyone is rude, the called me girl instead of my name. I was receiving asthma treatment and no one explained how to take it. When I asked how to use it they sucked their teeth and said “don’t have asthma”? I had to explain to her that I only was diagnosed with asthma 8 months ago. NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I RETURN HERE!
