Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Licensed primary mental health facilities provide specialized care for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. By offering early intervention and comprehensive services, they promote overall well-being and prevent long-term complications.
Substance use disorders often occur alongside primary mental health conditions. Programs for co-occurring substance use disorders focus on both conditions, tailoring treatment for comprehensive recovery.

No one answers the phones or calls you back after leaving a message or an email. Zero communication.

My son and I are very happy with the service we receive a Penn Psych. I only wish they could do more of the administrative meeting via Zoom as we live over an hour away.

I have never felt more disrespected by a doctors office. They straight out ignore my calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Less than 1 star would really be more correct. Run far away...for your own safety and mental health do not. I have multiple issues. Recently however I was hospitalized due to medication complications. I immediately called to set up an appt due to the meds being stopped cold turkey by the hospital. They sched me an appt 2 weeks out! Ive sat in withdraw for 2 weeks and today some computer issue or what they blamed on me happened and I am left with another 2 week wait. I paid out of pocket for my visit yesterday, did the online check in this am, and the signature for the tele. They stated no signature. Okay fine. Help me reschedule. I had sat on zoom for 20 minutes at this point assuming they were behind. They had canceled my appt. No notice because of said missed signature. Okay. You took my money over the phone with me last night and I checked in! New they're taking $50 of my appointment fee to send a bridge script. Okay....but this med has not worked and is making me ill. I was bawling on the phone. The cold office staff has no compassion whatsoever. Now theyre sending in a medicine that isnt helping and im stuck waiting another 2 weeks for help. This place needs to be shut down.

I have been a client of Penn Psychiatric in Phoenixville for 4 years. Lisa, Chris, Frank, and Jenn are my support team. I had been getting help from practice. Then I had an accident that a traumatic brain injury. This caused a severe disruption, and decline in all the mental health progress I have made. Lisa and Frank remained supportive are dedicated to helping restore my mental health. Chris the director, bless his soul, has been fundamental God send in helping me regain my recovery. After my accident, Chris and Frank encouraged me to add a peer specialist to my care team. This is what turn out to be a crucial role in my physical and mental health recovery. Jenn my peer specialist has helped me in so many ways. She has help me advocate for myself. She supported me and made me feel validated a heard regardless of what was going on. Giving me the hope, strength, and encouragement to keep going, when l have all but given up. Having someone between my weekly therapy appts, and monthly medication appts has help me in my recovery from the accident. I am so grateful for my support. Everyone at Penn Psych has been so wonderful. Front desk staff is so nice. Always enjoy going in person. I highly recommend this practice. I will never leave. Best team ever! I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for everything they have done to help me.

Oh boy, where do I start? Okay, I'll first say that the individuals working the front desk are always kind and that makes me feel welcomed to come here. However, as stated with previous reviews, the phone service is not as credible as the kindness of the front desk. I feel as though I've left more voicemails than made actual calls. While this place isn't the best, it isn't the absolute worst because I've acknowledged a chunk of boost in my mental healing, but at times I feel that having the phone answered when I call is a far reach. Edit (November 28th, 2025): I do believe I was being rather generous at the time of this review. At the moment, I feel as though it has made me considerably more worse than good In comparison to how I was at the time of writing my initial review above. 1) The phone issue is absolutely unacceptably horrendous to the absolute degree my voicemails rarely get returned—but when they do, I am at school and I have STRICTLY told them to not call me DURING school hours (in which I have shared such hours)—so it appears following directions is a weak spot at this place. However, I do in fact recognize I missed voicemails from time to time in the past, but I made sure to call back, just to be left on voicemail with a slim chance of getting a response. And as of right now, I have told them to phone my father in order to handle these ordeals, but you guessed it! Nada! 2) On the topic of voicemails, I have had many ranges suspending from one emotion to the other when it comes down to the many voicemails I've sent. From expressing a need to reschedule an appointment and then to a more common one regarding making a medication appointment, it once again appears the severity has no matter in determining when or if your call with ever be returned in proper time. While this could be a personal matter, it's simply not. Many under this tab of reviews appears to be experiencing the same hardships of getting even a single ounce of pick-up when phoning this establishment. A true shame, yeah? And while it could be told to an individual in I and many other's situations to just simply drive over and make an appointment in-person, many are unavailable to do so for either transportation purposes or personal reasons. So, therefore, phoning is a highly preferred medium. I really wish I had more positives than negatives for this place, but at the end of the day, it is strictly up to the establishment themselves to carefully and considerately read their reviews and perhaps take time to actually reply in a non AI and copy-and-paste manner! We will surely get through this together, y'all! Take care!
