I’m actually glad I didn’t read the reviews before starting care here, because they likely would have heightened my anxiety. PrairieCare’s DBT outpatient program has been wonderful. I feel genuinely cared for, and the staff is extremely supportive and compassionate. This program is already making a meaningful difference in my journey, and I’m grateful for the care I’m receiving.

Did an IOP here and it was amazing. The staff were so kind and really created a welcoming and accepting space.

In the month leading up to my daughter's intake, I asked them at least 5 times- every time I spoke to them- about transportation. I have work I can't miss every day for 6 weeks. They assured me, without reservation, that her school district would bus her, every single time. They had my address and personal information this entire time. Then, after taking a full day off work to do an intake they called me to say that actually the district wouldn't take a child from Ramsey County to Hennepin. They then said that I should have somehow known that they were wrong about the policy they were very sure about, and that they would obviously not take the extremely basic step to call the second most populous county in the state, that is next to their county, to check their essential policy. They tried to pretend that that would have been weird for them to do, but I have worked in this industry for 20 years and know that is bare essential basic. They offered to transfer her to another program in our county- in a month, but we would have to attend AND PAY FOR a second intake. Per the program director, that's about $2000 for EACH intake, for a total of $4000. When I argued that they lured me into a bait and switch by misinforming me about transportation and said I wouldn't pay for the first intake the director- a man old enough to know better, became verbally aggressive, talking over me, shouting, etc. I was disheartened by the reviews, but this is the only agency around that takes kids my daughters age with my insurance. I'm heartbroken, but I can't entrust my littler girl who needs help to people with so little integrity or sense of responsibility for the impact of their behavior. None of this is even going into the time they booked me for an intake on a day their office was closed, the lack of ability to reach anyone directly, or that they didn't get me intake paperwork till I called to remind them the day before intake. They know how bad their reviews are, but they don't seem to care enough to actually change their behavior.

i wish i had seen the reviews before taking my daughter there, they are never available it feels like they are working for FBI, everything goes to voicemail, i don't believe even trauma center has an unresponsive phone line than them, even their customer advocate line is a voice mail. they don't have a curtesy appointment reminder txt or call and the scheduler told me its "its your responsibility to remember your appointment" not forget to mention my daughter date of birth, 2012, and she said is this for you? she also said they do have the reminder service but sometimes their system is down but they don't consider waiving a no show fee, the provider sat behind her computer probably 5-10 minutes without an extra effort of just a quick outbound call to say "hey are we still meeting" if I'm paying for her time don't i deserve a 20 second call? not to forget all they ask is if the medication is working or do we need to adjust the dose. I wont recommend this place to any one and at the first chance I will find another provider.

UPDATE: I have called the number replied here twice and left messages because it goes directly to voicemail. No one has called me back yet. I have since found out through the medical record department that they mailed my medical records uncertified so there is no tracking number, meaning apparently they can't do anything about it now and neither can the post office because they can't track it. My records were mailed out on 9/25. Now my personal medical information is lost for over 30 days and I'm not sure I will even be able to locate it. Prairie Care is easily the most incompetent practice I have ever interacted with. I was a patient for 10 years, this practice is terribly disorganized, providers are regularly late for appointments, and it is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone or have them call you back in a timely manner. After switching to a new practice, it has been over 30 days since I have submitted a release of information form for them to send me my medical records, and when I call to ask about it I am sent directly to voicemail to leave multiple messages of which they never give a return call. Would never recommend to anyone.

Providers are often late for appointments, and scheduling is a nightmare. Appointments are often cut short to make up for the providers' lateness, but billing still expects patients to pay for a complete visit even when they are cut short. I would not recommend this clinic to potential patients.

My psychiatrist is never clear with me on when I should have a follow-up and scheduling doesn't reach out at all, you, the client with ADHD, are responsible for making sure you remember that the provider you see every 3 to 6 months wanted to see you in 2 weeks for some reason. Provider denies refills for no reason. My last appointment was on 5/29, so there's no reason for me to have been denied.
