My time at simply grace was absolutely horrible. I went in as an 18 year old with no experience on how to live let alone live sober. They gave me no help with what I should be doing, they only read me a list of all of the rules and told me I had two weeks of a grace period. I got a write up my second week because I was still figuring things out and they told me my grace period was actually only one week. So I brushed it off and tried my best to follow the long list of rules. We had to be out of the house from 11-4. I had no car and no idea how to use public transportation and didn't know how to ride a bike, so everyday I would walk for miles in the cold. Eventually I got holes in the bottoms of my shoes and had to keep walking. For a month I walked through wet cold grass. Eventually one of the girls gave me a crash course on how to ride a bike but I wasn't able to ride on sidewalks so I had to ride in the road. I had to go through cold rain and hot days all alone. Every day I was constantly told “do better, stop doing the bare minimum, don't try just do, saying you're trying is just an excuse, it's not that hard just do better, ect.” Every single day. They had no idea how to take care of mental health disorders and wouldn't accommodate for physical disorders unless you were old enough. We had a two hour work out twice a week that absolutely destroyed me. They didn't start where you were, instead they worked us like we were in boot camp from the start. The instructor was incredibly rude during the “group therapy” and would completely disregard my emotions or ignore me. I was always made to feel like I was constantly doing everything wrong with no actual guidance on how to fix it. The therapist I was assigned was very nice but I later found out she was an intern. I have a lot of complex trauma and a long list of mental health issues that needed more qualifications. I was always told I could just ask for help but when I did I never got any help. I was constantly lied to, gas lit, and put down. Eventually I was sitting in my room and got a call that I was being kicked out. I asked why and they said it was because my bed wasn't made. The rule is that the bed has to be made whenever you're out of the house. I was home when I was checked. Then when I told them that I was given a list of reasons of how my room wasn't up to standard, and how I should have just asked for help. I told them I did and they said I didn't ask the right person. I had an hour to pack all of my things and figure out a place to go. I had to go back to my parents house where all of my connections to get my doc’s. I'm now living in Colorado and greatful I was kicked out so I didn't have to live another second in a house where I was made to feel unworthy, uncared for, and alone. simply grace made my mental health rapidly decline, made my cravings worse, was demoralizing, hypocritical, toxic, and unwelcoming behind it's mask of care. I saw it negatively impact other people as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone trying to recover and live a healthy happy life.

Simply Grace has truly changed my life. Before coming here, I was lost, overwhelmed, and struggling to find a way out of the chaos. I didn’t realize how much I was craving structure, stability, and a safe space where I could heal — until I found it. From day one, Simply Grace welcomed me with open arms and gave me more than just a place to live; they gave me hope. The structure and accountability this program provides have been life-changing. I’ve rebuilt daily routines, learned to take responsibility for my actions, and most importantly, I’ve started to believe in myself again. Being surrounded by women who are walking the same path has reminded me that I’m never alone. The support, the encouragement, and the sisterhood here are real. Simply Grace helped me grow not just in my recovery, but as a woman, a mother, and a person worthy of love and success. This place gave me my life back. And for that, I will always be grateful. I was with simply grace from November 2023 to May 2025, and it’s very bitter sweet to be moving out because this has been my safe place for over a year. But, I’m ready to take what I’ve learned here and apply it to my life outside of sober living. Thank you so much Simply Grace. Jennifer, Brehn, Heather, and Callie. I love all of y’all

Absolutely appalled by my experience with Serenity Grace Sober Living. As a freshly recovering addict, I came here with hope—hope for support, stability, and compassion during one of the most fragile moments of my life. What I received instead was hostility, neglect, and outright cruelty. I was kicked out just 5 days into my 7-day grace period with no valid reason, no discussion, and no empathy. I was given three hours to pack up and leave, with nowhere to go and no resources to fall back on. This is not just unprofessional—it’s dangerous. To make matters worse, they shredded my personal mail, which was clearly labeled and paid for, despite my polite and repeated request to have it returned to sender. That’s theft and destruction of property, plain and simple. There was no care, no kindness, and absolutely no concern for my recovery or well-being. The staff were rude, aggressive, and demeaning during every interaction. Instead of being treated like a human being working hard to heal, I was treated like an inconvenience. If you or your loved one is looking for a safe and supportive sober environment—look elsewhere. Serenity Grace failed me when I needed help the most, and I would never recommend this place to anyone seeking real recovery.

I recently toured the Simply Grace facility and thrift store. A wonderful program that will help those with addictions get back on track with resources to support them in recovery. Jennifer the founder has a gift and passion to help those in need. Simply Grace has many opportunities for growth and healing.

Simply Grace has an amazing mission and the team to back it up! From the thrift store who took my mom's furniture donation to their fundraiser Simply Hilarious, it is clear how much good Simply Grace is doing in this world!
