Ever since the new management, I would strongly not recommend The View Apartments in Koreatown. The biggest issue is the complete lack of professionalism from management. Communication is poor, concerns are brushed off, and follow-ups rarely happen unless you constantly push; even then concerns are still not addressed. The blame is either always pushed to previous management or yourself (tough luck answers). You can never find her. Like the other review said, what is the point of having a property management onsite or at all if they are never in the office or can hardly reach via email, which apparently is the only source of communication?
Security is another major problem. There have been break-ins, stolen cars, vandalized vehicles from break ins and management’s response has been slow and dismissive, offering little reassurance or meaningful action to keep residents safe. On top of that, security hours are cut to no longer being 24 hours. So where does the budget cut money goes? Michelle's pockets? LOL
To make things worse, the elevator has been broken since November. Months later, it’s still unresolved, which is unacceptable for a multi-story building. A 14 story building sharing one singular elevator is ridiculous. Management seems indifferent to how this affects tenants’ daily lives. Blaming it on the previous management is not professional, especially when it has been 3 months since 1 out 2 elevators broken isn't fixed.
Instead of fixing all these problems, there is a new vending machine in the lobby. There goes some of the security budget cuts. Not to even mention, BBQ grill is broken, pool isn't cleaned regularly.
Between the safety concerns, long-term maintenance failures, and unprofessional management, this building does not justify the rent or the stress. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Previous management, Janey and Kaay were the best. Michelle is useless.
