The Willows at Red Oak Recovery

I will be celebrating 2 years sober this weekend and owe my unwavering gratitude to the Willows. It has been a while since I received treatment, but I think about it often and how transformative the experience was. After attempting to receive care at a traditional rehab, it was clear I needed a bit more help than what they could offer. I was serious about my recovery and willing to do anything to obtain sobriety, even if it meant taking the uncomfortable leap and acknowledging how significant a role my mental health played in my addiction. While not every day was a walk in the park, I recognize that The Willows played an integral role in my recovery, pushing when they needed and making space when I did. Yes, being surrounded by a multitude of other women with equal, if not more, significant challenges can be complex. But staying focused on my own life and recovery, while empathizing with others', helped me avoid tangles and clashes. The location is perfect, beautiful, and serene. The house is just as lovely. The meals were excellent, and the support services provided by the staff rival any treatment I have received to date. Staying the 90 days, then heeding their advice and going to sober living, was the best decision I have ever made in life. I recognize that I have to claim the work I did and the success I made as my own, but I would be fooling myself if I didn't acknowledge that I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. If you are serious about finding sobriety and doing the work, this is the place for you.

If you are truly serious about your recovery, The Willows is a place of deep healing. From the moment I arrived, every staff member—at every level—was fully invested in helping me build a strong, lasting foundation for my life moving forward. I came in feeling hopeless and lost. Through one-on-one sessions with Erin, transformative family therapy with my husband led by Lawson, and countless insightful and meaningful group sessions, something began to shift. I slowly came back to life. I found hope again, along with the confidence that living sober is not only possible—but sustainable. The house itself is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the food is genuinely amazing, and the wooded mountain setting is peaceful and grounding. Living with 14 other women isn’t always easy, and like anywhere, there can be challenges. But recovery isn’t about comfort—it’s about growth. This environment offers real opportunities to practice patience, love, and tolerance in the real world, not in a bubble. For those who truly want recovery and are willing to do the work, The Willows is a rare gem and an incredible blessing.

parents do not send your kid here!!! i went april-june last year and still think about it every day. like other comments say, they do not feed you enough, there were multiple girls there including myself that lost dangerous amounts of weight. the night staff did drugs, there are male staff that should be fired immediately but it seems every time they are there’s an equally bad one taking their place. everyone was overly medicated, and they prescribed gabapentin to every. single. girl. which is insane alone. the pictures are false advertising, the activities are false advertising, they do not offer real therapy. all around rough.

If you really want help this place will absolutely help. Clinical staff is amazing! It’s not glamorous but everyone cares and is kind. During my stay I will say it was understaffed. I really got the support I needed and I’d absolutely send a love one there.
