UNC Health Pardee

This place is so ridiculous. My sister in laws appointment has been pushed back so may times and they can never give her a clear answer!! Don’t go here!

They keep pushing back the appointments saying they dont have any beds for labor induction but what am i supposed to do if it’s an emergency? Like what? So if the water breaks and im goin into labor are yall gonna have beds then? They pushed the induction date back 4 times and this time was supposed to be at 5:30am but they called me 30 min before sayin nah we will call you when we can do it. Like what?

I have had surgery here on 04/22/26 and nurses that day and followed night was amazing one of them was Jackson and nurse before him I don’t remember, but nurses next followed night I would put 1 start. Their services skills they are need to work on and in all shift never check my wound. Only ones when i ask her to check.

My grandmother passed away at the Pardee ICU this week. While you can never plan a person’s final moments, there are hopes and expectations for their last seconds on earth. First and foremost, my grandmother was treated with respect and dignity every step of the way. The nursing staff thanked my mother and I for the honor of caring for my grandmother. Its words and actions like those, that hold such significant meaning when dealing with grief. Thank you to the entire nursing team. Specifically Talia, Kat and Shannon. They’re angels who work a thankless job. Lastly, we were astounded by the hospital’s palliative care team. Specifically, Dr. Garrett. He completely changed the way that we view hospital visits. He was attentive, kind, and patient with us. Most notably, when my grandmother gained awareness for the final time, he was there to explain to her that she was in her final moments. He was gentle, honest and treated her like a human. To be able to tell her the words that my mother and I cannot, is a gift we will never be able to repay. Thank you Pardee ICU. You have our admiration and respect.

Went here thinking I would get some type of care. Nurses are the same as Mission. I lay there over 4 hours. Ask for a pillow then the nurse informed me I was not at a bed and breakfast. Only place I have not tried is Advent. I know better than to go here again. Rude receptionist, check in, and nurses all from the time I went in until the time I left. Don't go here either.

DO NOT SEEK HEALTH CARE HERE!! Literally the worse. Right front the start, there's an attitude when you walk in at ER to check in. Lady at the window rolled her eyes and the triage nurse had an attitude when explaining my situation. Then the just got worse from there since it seems like all the staff were sharing my medical information amongst each other and laughing about it. I mean what do you expect from an all white staff in the ER. I also heard some insulting comments from the staff outside the door about me since they leave their radios volume up loud. I will find the right people to get them investigated.
