The overall staff at the facility is very helpful. Does the plan work? Yes if you do the work, I did attend this facility And it did help me. Now, having said that there are negatives, the policies are scattered, and ever changing but information is scarce for those policies. Things are usually spoken, but nowhere to be found in written. They use the cloak Of patient privacy and security as a tool to protect them from the effort of extra work or to deal with many claims. They use ambiguity as a tool of power so that you will give up without resolution. there may or may not be a great deal of favoritism, so if you’re likable and charismatic this program will be a breeze. They use a lot of classifying statements with no actual data to support it based off of legal information. As a family member or a friend, you may be quite upset. Make sure you ask questions in advance. Get the information on paper and speak with someone who actually knows the answers. Lastly, the cost is very obscure and mysterious. There are multiple different prices for everyone depends if you have insurance, Medicaid, cash. They do have scholarships, but they decide how they give those out internally so if they like you, you’ll get one I got offered one so they must’ve liked me, but some people don’t get them and that’s confusing. If you have a drinking problem, you should get help and this is a great place for that but the financial and the business side of it will leave you mostly frustrated. That is an authentic account of this facility.

If youte struggling w addiction, this truly is where you want to be. From the staff, the residents, the chefs/ food, and counselors, everything is such a safe and cathartic way to begin your journey of recovery.

I love this place they really help me better understand addiction feel at home and feel like I get quality therapy and new coping skills for when I leave. By far the best place I recommend for any one struggling with substance abuse problems

This place helped me tremendously and got me back to living a life again. Best care I’ve ever received. Highly recommend. The patients I met were focused and great. Awesome staff and nurses.

Did I achieve sobriety? Yes. But at what cost? The counselor suggested meeting with my children. My son was receptive. My daughter was permanently turned against me. I spent thousands of dollars and a month of my life to completely lose my daughter. A complete sham. And my father blames me for not reaching out to my daughter after many years of rejection, so essentially the counselor damaged my relationship with my father as well. Don't trust this place.

Definitely don't come if you are a diabetic. They will refuse your insulin for the first day at least. Then treat you like a infant about checking it and administering it after even if you have been doing it your entire life. If you are detoxing from alcohol but don't have alcohol in your urine because you came in at 1pm and have been in the hospital all day trying to regulate your blood sugar because they refuse your insulin intake then no detox meds either. This place is garbage. Go literally ANYWHERE else.

For the cost of being there I shouldn’t have had kitchen duty and a roommate switch to someone having seizures every night. Also they switched me entire groups 13 days in. You robbed me and now I’m scared to go to treatment again. Garbage

My partner had a positive experience at PVH. He called me daily to tell me about his small group sessions and how great the food was. The accommodations were nice and very clean. Unfortunate that they don’t allow visitors but very relaxed phone policy. He did love his counselor Marie. Unfortunate that his case manager wasn’t able to help him find a sober living scholarship because it was too late in the month and most were full. Oddly I did a very quick google search and immediately found one the case manager hadn’t heard of. He applied and got accepted for the program. I wish they were more proactive about setting up the aftercare plan. My partner was very anxious that without the scholarship he would be on the streets and relapsing. I also wish there was more outreach done for recent graduates. The cup hanging was great to attend and meet all the others in recovery.
