This was my third PHP program, and without question, the most transformative and effective treatment experience I’ve ever had. I arrived at Valor overwhelmed by anxiety, deeply depressed and broken in spirit, I was greeted by the receptionist, "Shanti," who treated me with extraordinary compassion, sensitivity, and care, immediately recognizing my fragile state and creating a sense of safety that carried through my entire stay.
From the moment I met Kelsey, the Clinical Operations Manager, my sense of safety deepened. She took the time to know me as a person, not a diagnosis. With clarity and care, she guided me through every detail of the program, my rights, and what to expect. More importantly, she empowered me—offering the tools for lasting sobriety while constantly and honestly reminding me that my success depends on the effort I invest. Her integrity and respect made a profound impact on my recovery.
When I met the Housing Manager Tim, and his team lead Marcus, I was welcomed into a luxurious, peaceful apartment community that felt like home. The environment was quite, impeccably maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with high end amenities--including a top quality gym and a community center that routinely hosted activities for it's residents. Valor provided me with, not just housing, but with stability, dignity and comfort--things that were absolutely essential to my healing process.
The group therapy at Valor was exceptional: engaging, grounding, and deeply thought-provoking. The highly trained clinicians, like Laura, Lilly, and Lindsay were phenomenal. I will forever hold them near and dear to my heart; they are permanently etched in the story of my rebirth! I especially enjoyed the pyscho-drama and mindfulness exercises; the MRT, CBT, and DBT groups. Through these I began to open up in ways I never had before, supported by a curriculum that felt like a masterclass in psychology, neurology and spirituality. My primary therapist, Stephanie, was truly instrumental in the effectiveness of my treatment. As I have alluded, I rarely open up or share my inner world, yet through her presence and care, I found the courage to do so. I cannot fully explain how she made that possible, but I am deeply grateful. Each session led me into a fresh revelation, lifting an immense emotional weight, leaving me with a renewed sense of freedom and clarity
What sets Valor apart is its extraordinary clinical leadership—skilled, deeply invested, and genuinely present. Lanier, the clinical director, and Mo, the assistant director, are hands-on with clients, leading groups, managing caseloads, and offering an empathetic ear whenever needed. Even the CEO, Ryan, and COO, Greg, personally engage with clients, sharing wisdom that inspires. The visible commitment of leadership reflects the passion, integrity, and dedication of the entire team.
Equally outstanding is Valor’s Clinical Case Management team. From the very beginning, my case manager ("Sara") addressed my immediate needs with efficiency and care, then helped me develop a clear, prioritized plan to rebuild a meaningful self-directed life beyond addiction and chaos.
Valor has helped me to rebuild my life with dignity, clarity, and purpose. Valor isn’t just a program—it is a family. Do not just take my word for it, nor the word of anyone else ...experience the professional, yet personally caring and compassionate treatment afforded by Valor for yourself. When you get there, be sure to tell them that "Big Steve" sent you!
