The Director is terrible at returning calls even when I have an emergency with my child. Can’t imagine the place works very well for kids if they can’t make themselves available for a phone call regarding the parental need for mental health intervention for their child. Seemingly par for the course with Wyoming Mental Healthcare.

Legalised child abuse and solitary confinement for kids. Was sent here twice as a child, so was my brother, we’re now in our 20s. Windows are frosted over and covered, your shoes are locked up, you’re only allowed 1 hour outside a day if even and you can never talk to anyone outside of maximum dinner. My father literally said sending us here was a mistake himself. Almost all of the kids I met in there were being abused or mistreated by their parents at home and one even successfully ran away because her abusive father sent her there. You can literally just throw any kid within the age limit there and say they’re “misbehaving” and it’s entirely legal. There is no purpose for this “program” and if you think it’s necessary you are a bad parent, all it did was make us act out more emotionally.

There are many different parts of the yes house. My personal experience is with the young ladies that put together a parenting class for parents and teens to participate in together. Maxine Jessica.wendy and another Wendy . I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from them
