Back about 10-15 years ago I was here , SA is rampant in places like this without cameras at all , zero sense of accountability

Was a patient here back in 2023. I was there for 7 months (would've left sooner if I had actually worked in therapy) and not only did I learn a lot about how to "deal with" my emotions and traumas, I also made connections that helped support me through my stay. Miss Tiffany and Miss Ashley always made sure I (1) was motivated to work on myself and (2) understand why some of my behaviors were harmful to myself as well as others. Many mental health-based facilities make the kids feel isolated or villainized, but Youth Home provided a safe and structured environment perfect for my healing journey.

I was there around the end of 2020 and most of 2021 up until summer. I was in mabee house and towards the middle of treatment a patient they had placed as my roommate accused me of sexually assaulting her. There was a huge investigation and I was transferred from mabee to rose house. She said that I busted my way into the restroom she was in during shower time and physically assaulted her. I truly believe it was because she had a weird attraction to me which I was aware of and shut down immediately. She was 13 or 14 and I was 17. I didn’t find out til they put us on a peer limit during Friday evening progress group. I’m going to tell y’all rn I was completely innocent with proof. The hall that the restrooms are in also house the Dorms were we slept. At the beginning of the hall entrance that opens out into the main area is I full scope camera also if it was during shower time there’s a staff member that sits at a table infront

My name is Austin Sharrock. I was a patient here for about four months and I can strongly say that I left more traumatized than I did healed. The treatment team is very unprofessional and would punish me without much explanation or for very minuscule things like comping about a staff member (ms schree) for grooming a patient that was 16. I was also labeled and marginalized as well. I witnessed several fights including one where three people jumped an individual for no apparent reason. I was accused by a female for rape?!Months! After my complaints to my therapists and even the clinical director about her very controversial and offensive behavior and remarks, this being her antisemitism and sexually inappropriate remarks towards me which were witnessed by several other different patients. The staff, for the exception of Bp, Pg, Larry, and few others, were extremely rude (Yolanda, Barret, Ms.Parker) and dishonest (schree, jaq, Montez) and some staff even had instigated fights with patients. For example Mr Montez and I had got into it and he said “if we was in the streets right now it’d be different” and some staff would keep attacking me verbally after I would break down in tears while screaming at them to stop talking to me. I was secluded for most of the time in as there and couldn’t go on outings for weeks, even months. Overall it was a very traumatizing effort and I even have nightmares about this place. I honestly never want to go back. In a way my “treatment” was a success but not in a conventional way but ima way where I’m fearful of ever being in an environment like that again.

I was there in 1993 and had good memories there. Helped me through some difficult times in my life.

I was in rose house almost all staff sucked and my roommate was a cockroach There was broken glass outside. While I was there I snuck in glass (from outside), vapes , liquor, Razor blades and more , nobody noticed

I was a Youth Home girl in the N Little Rock. I was there in the mid 70's. I still have the voice of Antje in my head to let me know when I am about to make a mistake. I know it doesn't always feel like it helps when you are there, but it changed the way I treated other people.

I was there when the “maybee” houses roof fell in (I can’t remember how to spell it). I saw a review saying that maybe they have the wrong youth home and they don’t. One of my peers was sitting at the table serving time and the guy that was working in the roof fell through. I don’t appreciate yall trying to hide it. Also I went through so many therapists. And I know one of them was leaving that’s why. He was amazing. I absolutely loved working with him. However the therapist I had last was horrible. I didn’t have a therapist for WEEKS. And she blamed it on Covid. When everyone else had a therapist and quarantine was 2 weeks at the time. I will say some of the staff were amazing. I loved Mr. Ben and Ms. Allison. They made it feel more like home.
