Alter Behavioral Health - Capo Beach

I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this program. When it came time to decide to take the next step in my child’s treatment journey, I found Alter. I am eternally grateful that I did!! My child’s been through many programs in the past, nothing felt like it was working. Alter is the only place that’s really made a difference for her.

Ryan and Lindsey went the extra mile for our family. The honesty and compassion these two very professional people showed all of us was exemplary. The whole staff worked as one beautiful unit of care. Healing is a journey and this facility and the whole Alter system "works" as our family member who received treatment remarked. Beautiful setting, great people, excellent care.

Alter helped my granddaughter through a really difficult time in her life. From the staff, the therapist, and the case managers- they have all played a pivotal role in her healing.

It is hard to put into words what Alter, and all those who work there, did for me. I came in scared, lost, and at the lowest point of my life. By the time I left, I was at one of my highest. I was able to reenter the world with confidence and with the tools necessary to navigate the challenges that came my way. If anything, the hardest part was leaving—because of the amazing bonds I formed with everyone at Capo. To Ryan, Lindsey, Laura, Bree, Alli, Jason, Carmen, Kira, Erika, Erica, Maddie, Mackayla, Adriana, and Chef Jessica: thank you. You have changed my life in ways that are difficult to describe. The treatment was highly individualized, which made it easy for me to get the help I needed. I also saw other clients receive the same level of care and dedication, and it was inspiring to witness their progress alongside mine. I will forever be grateful to the staff and nurses who gave so much of themselves to make our lives better. Everything about Capo supported healing: the food was top tier, the house was beautiful, the outings helped me integrate back into everyday life, the groups gave me skills I still use daily, and the therapy and case management prepared me for the real challenges I would face once I left. I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed. I entered at my lowest low and left at my highest high. I came in feeling alone and overwhelmed; I left confident, prepared, and even excited to face the world again. The only downside was wishing I had more time to spend with everyone. I wish all the staff at Capo the very best, and I encourage anyone who feels lost, confused, or at the end of their rope to reach out and find help here. Alter Behavioral Health is quite possibly the best recovery and treatment center that anyone who is struggling with mental health or substance abuse could ever go to. Before Alter, I was previously at a very horrible residential, and I only lasted six days because all I wanted was support and compassion so that I could meet my ultimate goal of getting better, so transferring to Alter was such a shock due to how fantastic everything was. From the moment I got there, I was met with so much kindness and compassion, especially towards my situation, and it has led to a drastic change from where I was in the past to where I am in the present. Personally, as an alumnus of Alter BH Capo Beach, I have not one complaint from any of the staff there, only incredibly positive comments. If you are someone who is in need of help, do yourself a favor and go to this program!

What an incredible experience alter has been. All the staff members are amazing people. Special shoutout to Laura, Bri, Ryan, cheficca, Lindsey, and jason. All my needs were always met and the I loved all the outings we went on. My time in groups and therapy helped me a lot with everything I was going through. Ryan is the greatest case manager I have ever worked with just his energy and personality are top tier. Thank you to everyone at alter for being like a second family to me

Alter is no joke. I came over because of my anxiety, and this place put my mind at ease. All the employees that work at this house are incredible, absolutely everybody in this house really cares for you. I feel i am in a safe place and would recommend this house to anyone
