If you’re anything like me, you might think getting sober would be an impossible task. I’ve had pain issues for my entire life which has been hard to get under control which over the years lead me down a dark path. I wish I had looked into methadone sooner because it’s been life changing - cravings under control, my pain management has been better than I’ve ever had with my previous pain medications, and I’m doing better with a month here than I could have done on my own in 6+ months.
The doctor on Wednesdays is extremely compassionate, really knows his medications and will help you know what’s best for you without being overbearing.
Martha who works at the front desk is kind, will ask how you’re doing, and always helps to make sure you keep up with your appointments and stay on track.
Brittany who also works up front was extremely friendly and kind since the first moment I entered this clinic. She made the intake process more bearable, while also being the first sign I had coming here that people really do care about you.
Diana, the clinic manager, is also my councilor. I wasn’t feeling great during my introduction appointment and seeing that I wasn’t feeling well did what they could to get me through the process. She has been a huge part in helping me to get clean, while not being pushy, and helping me to want to remain clean and helping myself to realize what I can accomplish on my own. Great manager and great councilor!
Last but not least, Taline, the nurse who’s there Monday through Friday is fantastic! She has been the most caring and considerate person at how I’ve been doing through the process. She has told me information to make sure I stand up for myself while also succeeding in the program with information that may have fallen through the cracks elsewhere. She’s an exemplary member of the team who has undoubtedly contributed in a major way to my success in the program so far.
Please do yourself the favor and give methadone a try, you’ll never know how much easier your life could be if you put in a few hours or time at most a week into bettering yourself.
