Feels like being among middle school girls again. I’m almost middle aged, I was shocked by tha cattiness and immaturity. The passive aggressive behaviors. My program kept me sober, but Casa made me want to drink. So grateful I got out of there. I’ve also heard the staff has been known to steal the controlled medication they keep locked up. Happened to multiple women and that was just during my couple of months there. And $900 dollars to share a single room with about 8-10 women is utterly insane in my opinion. Glad I didn’t let this place take me out.

Staff dips into your controlled medications they have “locked up”. A staff member stole over 24 out of my 30 pills and the director Maribel said there was nothing she could do about it. Now my insurance is making me pay a l hefty sum of money I can’t afford to get my medication replaced and Casa refuses to pay for it even though they allegedly “misplaced it”. I also asked over 7 times for my bottle of adderall to be returned and each time they told me they couldn’t find it. The staff here are full blown addicts and steal medication from those of us who suffer from mental disorders. Now I am without medication. The staff at Casa are thieves who lie through their teeth. Filing a report on this place. I pray no one else has to endure this.

The staff including Maribel Gonzales the program director stole over half a bottle of my anxiety medication that I need for acute Panic Disorder and PTSD. The day I finally had enough and went to discharge she altogether refused to give me back my ADHD medication. Will be contacting police and filing a lawsuit. Avoid this place at all costs. They dip into your meds. Don’t end up like me, left without lifesaving medication.

Casa taught me not only how to recover from addiction but also co occurring disorders like depression and anxiety. Their staff is always there for you and it’s where I was able to meet many friends who I still have in my life today. Thank god for Casa. It saved my life!

My Partner has been there for almost an entire month and made great progress in both their sobriety and self image. While they grew and learned, the staff members acted inappropriately. Valencia, one of the counselors, made inappropriate comments on my partners self harm scars in front of a large group and consistently ignored my partners pronouns. Several new residents have come and left within a day of being there during my partners forced stay. There was a UA test that came back positive for Adderall and the staff made them decide to either discharge, where they would have no where else to go, or stay an extra 30 days in residency and restart their sober date. Only days before they agreed to let them step down to sober living. Maribelle, one of the facilitators accused me of drugging them. When my partner fought back and asked to see the test, they suddenly flipped the script and the result was negative. They lied about my partners UA in order to keep them there longer. This place might help a lot depending on your own willingness to stay sober and grow, but the staff are ineffective at keeping the rules and make inappropriate comments to the residents. There was even one person there who evaded UA for an entire week because they were using drugs during the program and just said that they could not UA. Blackouts and rules are easily bent by both residents and facilitators. Be wary of Casa, staff have their favorites and they will even fabricate lab results to keep their favorites there longer.
