Evolve Teen Treatment Center - Woodland Hills

I stayed at evolve the end of last year/ beginning of this year, and I had a very positive experience with the staff,treatment,food, all of it. It seems like everyone there does really care about the patients and wants to help. I loved the approach they had with cbt and dbt. Very helpful to me. (i still utilize them almost daily!)The one thing that I did have issues with were the other kids. There was quite some violence coming from the kids that were there at the same time as me. It's not on the staff at all though. They did the best they could in very harsh situations and still kept all of us safe. I do recommend this place if your kid deals with depression/anxiety but would not recommend if they have violent tendencies. I just dont think mixing those two types of kids works out well.

Her compassionate and humble nature truly shines, and her support has been a cornerstone of Alisa’s journey. Because of the collective effort of the entire team, Alisa and I have been able to reconnect and enjoy our time together in meaningful ways. As we leave Evolve Residential, my family and I carry cherished memories of Alisa’s time there. Though our stay was brief, its impact on our lives is profound and lasting. Careful with what you say to the person interviewing your family for a possible placement. Although you will stretch that an issue was reported and taken care of, they will still call law enforcement. As soon as law enforcement contacted me and I clarified what I had already clarified to the Evolve woman on the phone, they hung up and it was the end of it. But the hassle, while you and your family are already going through so much trauma it was just enough for us to take them off our list, and thank goodness we did! We went with an amazing place called Ascend and it was 5 starts from the first contact to check out.

My son was at this center for 6 weeks and made more progress in that time than he has in 6 years of counseling. I found the majority of the staff to be professional and compassionate. There were a couple of issues with some of the RC's that upset him and me, but I spoke with the director and I know that those things have been addressed. Overall, I will recommend this program to anyone who asks. There is no such thing as perfection in therapy. Everyone has their own process. I am a counselor, I had all the energy in the world for my son, I gave him every resource I could think of and it was not enough. He got exactly what he needed from his time at Evolve. He has been home for about 6 weeks now, and I could not be happier with his responses to life. His counselor, Stephanie, helped him in ways that no one else has been able to. I am eternally grateful for everything. The only other thing that I would add is that if you are thinking of sending your child to Evolve, follow through. If they participate and you participate, you will likely get the results you are looking for. Be honest around your child's needs and don't hesitate to let the counselors or director know if something is not working, in my experience they will do all that they can to make the appropriate changes.

This treatment center was structured, positive and constructive for my teenager. Practical methods and processes were taught, besides teaching them self love/ care and mindfulness.

As someone who works in adolescent treatment, Evolve has always been a great support for my family's and clients! The are in-network with multiple insurance providers and offer top quality care from residential to outpatient care. I would highly recommend their services!

my personal therapist was amazing and deserved so much more than evolve gave her. shoutout to her, and ken. they made my experience somewhat bearable. it’s not really what it seems. be careful please and look for alternatives in any way you can.
