Get Clean San Diego offers 4 sober living homes in the San Marcos and Escondido areas for individuals in the early stages of recovery from substance use. The homes offer accountability and support by helping residents set healthy boundaries and establish healthy routines. They engage residents in various community building events throughout the year like Friendsgiving and a Canned Food Drive.
Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.

A good non-profit environmental organization that supports voluntary clean-ups throughout San Diego. Their office is in Kearny Mesa and easy to get to. It is on the second floor with the entrance on the left side of the building. This is where you can pick up forms and basic supplies (buckets, disposable gloves, and small trash bags). The staff is friendly. Coordinating clean-up events can be done online, but you will need to schedule about a month in advance for small groups of less than 25. Groups of 25 or more, they recommend 3 months in advance. The organization doesn't assist with waivers/permits for paid parking at the clean-up sites, so parking fees are out of your own pocket. Depending on the clean-up site, a park ranger may be available with information. I'll continue to support and coordinate voluntary clean-ups through them.

The website has so much info. I was a bit overwhelmed with the info that I had some difficulty going back to the site to input information and to find an updated calendar.
