Iowa Specialty Hospital and Clinic Belmond

The one star is for the good work on my surgery and the team. The issue is the lawsuit they filed against me. They already get tons of money and they decide to sell my debt to someone who is now gonna garish my wages.....I wish i could give 0 stars.

Idk how this place is still up and running. This hospital is a JOKE. I took my father in because he was very obviously having a stroke and Dr. Cappola was the ER doc on staff unfortunately and he did what he always does which is brush it off like nothing, while acting clearly annoyed he even had to be there and when he was assessing my dad he ended up raising his voice at him when my dad didnt understand something. He said nothing was wrong. Well we went somewhere else and got mri and it showed he did in fact have a stroke that day and belmond hospital did nothing for him. This place should be shut down and prepared for a lawsuit

I had an ultrasound performed at Iowa Specialty in Belmond, and the results were read by Dr. Travis Petree. Unfortunately, the report was marked as "unremarkable," despite the presence of clear abnormalities. This significant oversight was not discovered until more than six months later, leading to a serious delay in care and a cascade of events that are still unfolding. As of today, May 22, 2025, Dr. Travis Petree and Iowa Specialty have accepted zero accountability. I intend to share further details as I’m able, but I feel it’s important to warn others now. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about the accuracy and reliability of imaging services at Iowa Specialty.

The hospital was amazing in every way! My husband had back surgery and the staff and nurses were so helpful and more than nice!

I just had my sleeve gastrectomy on Monday and have had virtually no pain. Dr. Eibes and everyone we encountered at Belmond hospital were so kind and helpful. No surprise you have such a successful hospital that you rarely find in a town the size of Belmond. So thankful...love to all of you.

My daughter had to have surgery. The staff was so wonderful. They were on the ball. They offered to give her a message to help her relax. The nurse's were top shelf. The only downfall I would have to say was the cafeteria food. Their baked goods tasted like they sat out on the counter for a wk uncovered. Very dry and you could tell they weren't fresh. Some of the other food sat in the warmers and got a film on the top. Other than that, things were great.

I had great treatment from the doctor, nurses, antithesis. Only thing stopping a 5 star was the way my insurance was "Gussed at". I knew it was a 100% covered but the sent out bill/est was telling me different. Took 5 calls to 3 different people to finally get the business agent to really look at my coverage and see I was right. Dr Hensley and my Nurse Natalie were great!

The hospital has gone hill and fast. And don't even get me started with their emergency room! They have no insight into people with mental disabilities/intellectual disabilities AT ALL. They are rude to the max. Docs vary but the RNs are normally rude and stuck up
