Harmony Hills

I was admitted to Harmony Hills in Umatilla (Altoona area) for treatment of bipolar I and ADHD, and overall it was a positive experience that helped me a lot—enough for a solid 4 stars. The therapists were outstanding and truly life-changing. Greg Finnie took the time to really listen, Amber Margeson gave me practical tools I still use every day, and Jeff Lowery knew how to push me just the right amount without it ever feeling too hard. Therapist Tim made you feel special and loved. The techs and support staff made the place feel caring and supportive. Mrs. Autumn was one of the sweetest, most professional and caring tech leaders there—she always knew how to make you feel seen. Tony was super engaged with everyone, making you feel like you were the only one in the room, and he always had the perfect thing to say at the right moment. Jeremy and his sister worked a lot of nights but were always chill, letting us socialize and hang out. I called Jeremy "DJ Remix" because he'd always find remix versions of classic songs—which was cool, even if sometimes the originals hit different! He took requests without ever getting annoyed and was like a human jukebox you didn't have to pay for. Not forgetting Shaq, who was great too. And if it was just based on Chef Jojo's cooking, this place would easily get 5 stars—his meals felt like genuine food therapy for the heart. The pharmacist Tom was awesome as well; we had great conversations on deep topics that made me feel right at home. Solid staff all around. If you're struggling, this is a place worth considering.

Would rate it 0 stars!! Stay FAR away from this Harmony Hell! Was here back in 2023. They lied about the equine therapy. The horses belonged to the neighboring property, and we were threatened with a baker acted if we tried to go near them. I was Forced to stay out of my room when I had a severe infection and felt ill. During the day I would be outside in the blazing heat which worsened my condition. They medically neglected me until I was baker acted and brought to the ER to my rescue. Psych ward was even better than this hell, even though that place was terrible too, I still had full access to air conditioning. I was also SH by another patient there and they did nothing about it. Thankfully I transferred out and I’m doing a lot better but I’m still traumatized by this place.

I’ve consistently seen how dedicated this program is to providing thoughtful, client-centered mental health care. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Erica Rigsby in the field and she is a wonderful example of when true passion and compassion combine. Highly recommend this program for anyone!

I completed this program thanks to the nursing staff, Counselor Amber, Counselor Eliana, BHT Greg, and all the other dedicated hard workers here. The cleaning staff stole my sweatpants and T- shirt, that I was not too happy about. I enjoyed this program and it had a lot to offer.

This place is good. Shout out Josiah the head chef he makes really good food. Breakfast is good everything is. The therapist are good. This place really teaches more about science, the right side and left side of the brain. All the staff treated me well.

My daughter, who is bipolar, had high hopes after talking with the staff. She was there only a day and a half. They did not give her her prescribed medication, although she brought the medication with her. She asked for her medicine but did not receive it. She expected some changes in her medication but did not expect to be denied medication that must be tapered in order to be changed. She said that she felt like she was going to die. The doctor I spoke with made it sound like she had received the medication but that it was not working. I would give zero stars if I could.

There is very misleading. As someone who has completed the program, is nickname for this place Harmony Hell. Website and photos or are misleading because no person who owned their horses mostly sold the rest and moved away , so it's just a private field. Foods pretty decent good quality american hospital. To be expected a lot of people have certain diets most of the stuff Extremely Nice.. living conditions pretty iffy water's multiple rooms don't fully function and you shared hot water. As soon as you go out for breakfast and get your medicine YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO GO BACK INTO YOUR ROOM UNTIL AROUND 6PM. Even if it's blazing heat or rain. Even though they talk about a pool , it's not opened still to be certified by city for safety AGAIN. P.S. NO RECHARGEABLE VAPES ALLOWED I have to have a lot of headache.I try and talk to my parents and they try to get me out after realizing the hell funny. Thing is every time they called the office.The office tonight and then we're to be able to talk to me and told me that they never called or came even though this place is volunteerly they even tell you you're allowed to leave but they admired and tried to keep me there against my will even keeping my phone and personal belongings hostage.

So it was my first time in treatment, all I can say about this place is most of what you see on their page is a lie. There are no horses, a non working pool and on top you were locked out of the cabins from 8am-6pm. Our "break" time was spent in a gym or outside and there were very little things to do throughout the day. The groups were mainly a joke beside the trauma group. I had a pretty good therapist while I was there but other than that the staff were rude, they were basically overpaid babysitter's. My second to last day there one of the staff threatened violence upon a client there and got sent home for the day. There were multiple fights, cops there almost everyday and when a medical emergency would happen the staff were clueless. The only thing that made that place tolerable were the few good people there that actually wanted to get better. I definitely would not recommend there unless you like being around unstable people that should be ina higher security facility
