I cannot stress this enough: avoid this treatment center at all costs. What’s marketed as a safe, supportive place for recovery in Sonoma is actually a toxic, unsafe, and emotionally damaging environment — run by someone who should not be allowed to care for vulnerable individuals.
The owner, Michael, is emotionally abusive and manipulative. He openly said he *does not care* about the patients — only the money. That attitude permeates every aspect of the facility. Instead of receiving support, you’re subjected to constant gaslighting. Michael regularly fabricates stories about patients, twists the truth, and tries to blame individuals for problems he and his staff create. It’s disturbing and dangerous.
The facility itself is filthy. Cleanliness is clearly not a priority. There are insect infestations and obvious signs of neglect everywhere. Basic hygiene standards are not followed, which is unacceptable in any healthcare or treatment setting. On top of that, the kitchen is careless and reckless — they’ve served food to patients that they were *allergic* to, even after being told multiple times.
