Monte Nido Rainrock

Rainrock said they were a duo diagnosis facility. Only if they had a driver to take the patients into town for AA meetings, which they did not. My loved one, in her 30's, was referred from Kaiser. I put down the down payment and was told I would get the money back if patient completed treatment, which she did. No thanks to anything rainrock did. Almost immediately, rather than focusing on the eating disorder, they focused on getting their money, and they involved 'the struggling one'. Kaiser was paying for the treatment, but if the money wasn't immediately forthcoming, they would talk to the one who was there supposedly getting treated. Instead, it was more like three patient got the treatment over payment. Apparently there was money owing when the patient was sent to an apartment, to try to live in the community. By the time rainrock parted ways with the patient, the patient owed money. Rather than go after the client, whom they didn't hesitate to hound while in treatment, they kept my $6000 deposit, with no accounting of what was owed. I would look elsewhere for a facility to send a loved one to. This was a nightmare, made even more so because it was happening over the holidays.

Staff is rude and talks over you when asking a question, avoids answering your questions, and requires so much information and time from you before you even know if you’re eligible. I wish there was a zero star setting because of how unprofessional the lady I spoke to was. I just got off the phone with a worker and she had an attitude the whole time and didn’t answer one of my questions, so they won’t be getting my business!!

Going to RainRock was one of the hardest yet best things I’ve ever done. Staff is amazing and cares so much, they try hard to make this feel like a home. I would 100% recommend this facility to anyone who is struggling with ED behaviors.

Got Covid on the first day of being there and had to go home because I was so sick I couldn’t even breathe ok but the nurses said I was fine and on top of that after I had a POSITIVE test they didn’t tell anyone in the building. So as far as I know when i had to leave because of being so sick everyone else got sick after me. Please don’t go here if you need real help it made my ed worse. No one deserves that ❤️

It took me months just to get into the program because of miscommunication on their part. when I finally was approved for treatment and given a date for arrival I was already very sick because of my condition. When I arrived at RainRock I got a very quick Tour with my mom and then she left. it was very busy and it seemed like they couldn’t handle The amount of people in the facility to the point where they would forget about you and you're schedule they give you. The entire facility was not clean it was more like a motel setting with hair everywhere and dirty toilet the list could go on. I even got a hair in my food when I was there. The second day I was there I started the feel very sick. The nurses told me it was allergies and gave me Benadryl. On day three I could barely talk or breathe out of my nose I was constantly sneezing and coughing and felt very embarrassed. On day four I was extremely nauseous hot and couldn’t breathe out of my nose I was very dizzy and weak I couldn’t even hold down solid food they gave us. About 10pm that night I was shivering and just felt like something was very wrong but the nurses just kept saying it was really bad allergies because it’s “the valley” I’ve been in the valley before and this has never happened. So even though I felt like I was doing something wrong for leaving treatment like I was just weak or something I still did. That night at 1 am I had to pack all my bags and call my mother to come pick me up. We got home about 3 am and my mother out of curiosity because she was feeling very sick as well took a Covid test and it was positive. I took one 5 minute later and mine was positive. We immediately called them of course no one answered so we called the about 6 more times over the following day. It took 2 DAYS! For them to answer after calling them over and over. And when I finally did get ahold of someone and told them the situation and that I was in that facility with Covid for over three days. They seemed extremely nonchalant about it like it’s no big deal at all and just apologized that I got Covid. I was shocked to say the least. You have a treatment center designed for people Most likely immune compromised to heal and get treated in yet you act like it’s no big deal at all that there’s Covid in the facility right now? It just seemed very strange. And after that the only phone calls I got were from my therapist urging me to get well so I can come back as soon as I can? There are just so many flaws with this treatment center I absolutely love the approach they take with the mental health aspect of it but they really need to do something about the medical and hygienic the side. After I got home my entire family got Covid as well. The only person who’s not immune compromised in my family is my mother. So we got very lucky I’m extremely grateful for my family to be safe and healthy now but it was an extremely stressful traumatic experience. I really hope RainRock will improve in the future. Nobody deserves to get sicker when they are trying to heal ❤️

Too much staff turnover to feel safe or cared for. Staff was disorganized, uncoordinated and sparse. It felt like everyone was just "winging it." Many Recovery Coaches were not informed on procedures or protocol and there were many discrepancies with what was told to clients. My stay here was stressful and traumatic because of these things. I witnessed many clients in distress over being given the wrong medications. Nursing staff from temp agencies would frequently fill shifts (nurses who had ZERO training with eating disorder patients.) One employee was fired during my stay due to aggressive behavior, and one nurse was also fired for withholding medications from clients. To top it off, the meals were FAR from home-cooked gourmet. Several nights were take-out, weekends there is no chef so the Recover Coaches cook frozen, packaged foods on Saturdays and Sundays. Oh, and don't plan on staying in the same room during your stay. They tend to move clients around to different rooms when a new intake arrives. There are better places.

Everyone here is so supportive. It was hard for me to stop exercising but I got to do it again with medical allowance - so meaningful to me. I would definitely recommend this program.

My wife checked in and we paid the full amount up to our out of pocket maximum. Monte Nido made errors in preapproval and didn’t code the transaction correctly, which we didn’t find out until she was checking out. As a result, our insurance provider did not record that we had met our out of pocket max. We have been on the hook for every bill thereafter. We budgeted this whole journey down to the penny, knowing it would be a financial hardship, but that it was necessary. Due to their error, we have bills we can’t afford to pay, my wife had to skip seeing doctors and therapists and the stress has put all of her recovery work at risk. She has made multiple attempts to reach out and have the situation corrected, but to no avail. Truly feels like they got their money and do not care that they jeopardized a person’s recovery.
