National Capital Treatment and Recovery’s Independence House provides a structured residential setting for adults in early recovery. The 24-bed program serves men and women who are transitioning from treatment or reentering the community after incarceration. Residents typically stay about 6 months, receiving support that helps them build stability, develop routines, and prepare for independent living. Strengthen Recovery Through Daily Structure Residents participate in morning and evening group sessions, individual support, and recovery-focused activities that help them build coping skills and healthy habits. The program encourages attendance at AA or NA, peer recovery groups, and outpatient services offered through Arlington County. This structure gives residents multiple layers of support as they learn to maintain sobriety in daily life. Build Confidence Through Community Reintegration Independence House focuses on helping residents return to the community with confidence. People spend part of their day seeking employment, working, or reconnecting with family and friends in healthy ways. Staff guide residents as they practice real-world skills, strengthen their support network, and gain the experience they need to live independently while continuing their recovery.
