New Life House - Men's Sober Living

be warned, they use punishment tactics. i just heard from a former patient about this place. these places exist in LA where they basically torture you. you have to ask to go to sleep and they keep you up till around 2 am yelling at you then make you get up at 7. sleep deprivation is actual torture and the worst thing for an addict. if you get stuck here and you wanna leave they have zero right to keep your phone and wallet just go to the police station its theft. LA is a bizarre place for recovery there are a lot of bad rehabs.

We were very lucky to have found this place for our son. They guided us from the beginning, because this was our first time navigating rehabilitation, and we immediately thought this would be our best option given the duration of the program and the living arrangements based on age. From the time we first contacted New Life to today (our son is a graduate from this program and about to move out of the recovery home. He graduated after 14 months and moving out after 17 months.), it has been a blessing. This program not only prepares these young men to achieve sobriety but it also gives them the tools to sustain it. This program provides parents the support to stay involved in the recovery process and embark the family in a healing path (something that seemed impossible in the midst of addiction). As our son actively works the program, we, parents, are given the tools and education to repair and foster healthy family dynamics and strive for a joyful life. We saw our son mature, we matured and learned a new way of life by setting boundaries for our adult child while loving him unconditionally. This program encompasses all the stages of recovery in a comprehensive way and provides a community for them to thrive. New Life house completely changed my life I was strung out on drugs and alcohol hopeless for life and the house helped me find my way to a better life introducing me to AA and building a brother hood with the guys in the house I found a purpose for living and gave me a relationship with my family once again. I can’t explain how grateful I am for this program and the process!

New Life House in Los Angeles was an experience of a lifetime. The program is designed as a structured-living environment, which methods prove to yield a high level of success—that success being to nurture and train young men for a sober life, free of substance abuse. My son arrived to Miracle House in November 2021. He was a broken man who had lost his moral compass of life, having declined over several years into a life of addiction. He had broken many laws and was charged with both misdemeanors and felonies in two counties in California—all drug related. In working with the courts during the sentencing phase, the opportunity to convert jail time to recovery time became a real option. New Life House (NLH)/Miracle House, with its philosophy and practice of a long-term recovery program (addiction doesn’t start in a day, and sobriety is not going to be achieved in a day), literally saved my son’s life. His sentence could be served within this structured-living environment, and he was only free to leave there to go back to jail! The change I saw in my son over the first 120 days at Miracle House was indeed a miracle. It seemed as though my son was actually going to emerge from this abyss of his life of drugs. I am so grateful to NLH management and the commitment of the House to hold my son accountable for his behaviors. His improved attitude and habits are enabling him to take responsibility for himself, working and moving to an apartment with others from the House. Moving forward with skills and a life-saving “tool bag” for coping with life’s challenges. All without alcohol or drugs. This IS a miracle story. By applying the NLH long-term approach to a life of sobriety, my son is emerging after 18 months to a life full of possibilities. The long-term approach to sobriety is the ticket, and New Life House delivers!

Completing this program has truly been the experience of a lifetime. This house has helped me find the tools to overcome any challenges that may come up in life. I have made some of my best friends in this program and have a giant community that I know I can rely on at any time. This house has helped give me hope again and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Amazing spot to get sober saved my life I have 18 months sober now thanks to new life

As a graduate of the program, I can whole heartedly say that I am not the same person I was before I walked through the doors. I have my family back in my life, a brotherhood of other sober men, and my underlying mental health issues addressed. New doors open for me all the time, and and I can take on life’s challenges with a new confidence and perspective. Truly grateful!

There is nothing like this program , I firmly believe if my son had not found New Life he would not alive today. Brad had been in two other rehabs and relapsed both times, the longevity of this program and all the incredible staff is what makes this so successful. I am eternally grateful for what New Life has done for my son and my entire extended family. I have my son back today because of New Life, The BEST structed program staffed with people who care, Robbie and Sebastian are AMAZING!
