Oasis IOP

I’ve been to a lot of IOP programs and honestly didn’t get much out of them. I’m currently in the IOP here and really love it!

I went into the program pretty skeptical, especially about the wilderness component. I didn’t think it would be my thing, but I actually ended up really enjoying it. Being outside helped me clear my head in a way I didn’t expect, and I’m glad I gave it a chance.

I sent my niece here for help, and I’m really grateful for the care she received in the PHP program. The staff felt genuinely trauma-informed and never made her feel judged or rushed. I appreciated that they treated her like a person, not just a “case." As a family member, I also felt kept in the loop and supported, which made it feel a little less overwhelming. I would recommend this program to anyone.

Great staff great place to recover . It's really relaxing and nice to meet all the good people. This has changed my life and it can change yours for the better.

Sad to have to leave a negative review. But this must be said for those looking for a place to heal in the Asheville area. As a previous client, I cannot recommend Oasis. The company prioritizes money over their clients. They charge exorbitant fees for treatment and aftercare. In 2023 they were sued for $46 million for not being able to come up with money promised by one of the Oasis owners. My own experience has been going through residential treatment with Oasis and then moving into their sober living. This past week they informed us that we had to be out of the house within 5 days. Which, aside from being illegal without 30 days notice, gave us five newly sober women a tiny window to try to find housing. The situation has since been remedied by the company taking over the house; no thanks to Oasis. Not one phone call or explanation given to me or my family. The way Oasis handled the entire situation was hurtful, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Some of the staff are truly wonderful and caring. It is the Oasis business model that is the problem. This year they laid off multiple dedicated, loyal employees with no prior notice. I would not be surprised to learn there are more lawsuits open against them. They are currently making calls to try to get investors; likely because they are in financial trouble again. Shame on this “recovery center” for putting profit before people’s sobriety and well being.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Oasis recovery does not care about its clients. I attended Oasis for over 9 months and put all of my money, trust, and time into this place and it's employees just to get shitted on. I WAS staying at their extended care house for 10 MONTHS! Paying outrageous amounts per month ($1,800/month). The reason rent was so high was because they offered to take us to and from work, appts, etc. After a while they chose to stop giving the rides but we were still paying the $1,800. And suddenly we were told by Oasis that the Extended care program had ended and we were required to leave the property within 4 days! I've been to a lot of treatment centers (about 7) and Oasis Recovery is BY FAR the most shady of them all. I could not recommend them less. John Wood and the other owners do not deserve a treatment center nor do they deserve the profit they make off of these beautiful people. If Oasis doesn't get their stuff together then it wouldn't surprise me if John Wood and the other owners will have ANOTHER lawsuit against them. If the owners chose to focus on the patients and making correct financial decisions instead of worrying about increasing their own earnings then maybe things would still be how they were when I first arrived at Oasis in the beginning of 2025. When I first arrived at Oasis it was so full of life and love and now it's full of greed and platitudes. I have a lot more I could say here but that's for another time. On a side note the therapists Haley, Maddie, Katie, Joseph and Colton are amazing! Haley runs the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and she actually gives a crap about the clients and their well-being. This lovely woman WILL and HAS gone to war for her clients! I can easily say the same for the other therapists I listed above. I know y'all just hate seeing my name on these reviews bc y'all know I'ma tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God. 👋

My experience going through oasis was warm , welcoming and kind …. The staff there made me feel human, treated me with respect and dignity, and handled every need of mine. I’d like to give a special things to the owner John Wood for seeing something in me and believing in me and for giving me a chance to be something better than I’ve ever been in my life….the property there is truly beautiful and the houses are very nice to live in…. shout out to Miss Vern , Jeremy and my therapist Joseph for being the kindest people on this planet , to the techs Justin, Eric , Dillon , Erica thank you very much

Oasis changed my life! After over 15 years of addiction, Oasis was my first shot at sobriety and living a clean and sober life. I never thought I would see the world so clearly, the program and staff are incredible. They geniuely care about their clients. They are dedicated to helping each indiviual in whatever they need to reach sobriety. I couldn't be more thankful for the care and love I recieved from this establishment. Love all the staff and am forever grateful for the treatment I recieved.
