I was originally set to go from a detox center to this facility on february 2nd. Today January 30th the therapists from where im at came in and started my discharge, I did my last bit of laundry, the techs gave me all my belongings and I packed all of my stuff for tbe trip, just to suddenly be told they weren't "comfortable" with a 7 hour round trip. They knew where i was to begin with they even said they collect people from west Virginia and said it was no problem. They wanted to get me before the weather and coordinated with the place im at to the point of me being ready to head out the door just for plans to change after the staff got me ready to go. Now im not sure what im doing. I will say a drink has never sounded better after dealing with even getting into this place. 0 stars if I could

It's a short program that I went to for php. . It was only 30 days. The best classes they had were with this one guy, Mike. The other good classes were with a guy named Garrett. Both of them were the best teachers. Ms. Shelly was also awesome. She would go out of her way to do things with the clients. The staff there really does care. In Am glad that I went even though like everyone else who goes. To begin with none of us wanted to be there. Everyone is worried about what is happening with everything on the outside. In the end it helped with me tremendously. I'm really glad I went. The only thing that was really an issue the whole time I was there, was everyone complaining about there not being enough food.

What a joke! We were referred to Pyramid Healthcare by a local mental health provider because my husband requires inpatient dual-diagnosis care beyond what their facility can provide. Pyramid’s website and phone listings advertise inpatient services, detox, and “same-day admissions.” This is utter nonsense. Over the past two weeks, we attempted three separate times to obtain help and were repeatedly told by different staff members that only outpatient services were available. Each call involved multiple transfers and contradictory information, despite clearly stating that inpatient care was needed. The incompetence was unbelievable. Staff repeatedly asked for our phone number for follow-up. My husband provided it three separate times, yet after the call was abruptly ended (we were hung up on), no one ever called back. Most concerning, a representative collected my husband’s Social Security number, even though no assessment occurred, no appointment was scheduled, and no services were initiated. Collecting sensitive personal information without providing care or follow-up is deeply troubling. Advertising inpatient and detox services while telling callers that only outpatient care is available — and then failing to assess, follow up, or provide clear direction — is misleading and unsafe, especially for people in active mental health crisis. This is false advertising and an epic failure on Pyramid Healthcares part. Families in crisis deserve better. Shame on Pyramid Healthcare for failing at a moment when safety and competence mattered most!

October road saved my life I'm so thankful for that place I stayed in the river house and a huge shout out to the tech Ian Mahaffey,Ian was amazing a few times I taught about giving up but he talked to me about it he made it completely comfortable and I felt like I was at home thank you to all the staff I highly recommend October road

This place saved my life literally!!! I came here with nothing and started all the way over with only a birth certificate social security card Bible and a toothbrush I used drugs for 25 years every day I'm 40 years old and served 17 years in the Department adult corrections. I have done multiple or a dozen different inpatient programs but never one of this caliber every staff tech receptionist doctor nurse case manager is amazing and will go above and beyond to help you in every step of recovery they all all very genuine and authentic and really care and want to see you succeed and be the best version of yourself because a good percentage of them can relate to your past struggles!!! I am currently in a great sober living house thriving and It all started here with me being vulnerable engaging in groups and therapy sessions!! Huge thanks to everyone that is employed by pyramid for believing in me!

I will begin by saying this is about 50/50 positive to negative. The positives are that almost all of the staff did a great job and seemed genuinely interested in helping everyone. Even the ones who did not want to be there and were disruptive. Garret and Shelly were particularly great at their jobs. I feel that the overall approach to recovery is well intended. The classes, recreational therapy, mental and medical counseling, and , access to outside recovery programs are a fantastic concept. With that being said….. your program is embarrassingly understaffed and there are some serious issues I have become aware of since I left. I’ll address the understaffing first. I was to understand that I would have access to individual counseling , medical counseling at least once per week. I had to pull teeth just to get 1 counseling session and requested another which didn’t happen. I did the medical doctor every week but asked to see her before I left on Monday and that didn’t happen. There was also an issue in the medical notes referring to the wrong drug being blamed for issues. On that note, when I departed, there was no documentation about what I took, received, changed, left with or any other information that should have been given. I was given a few sheets that refers to some of the medication I took but was only basic medical knowledge of said drugs. I was also given a sheet about the medication oxycodone which I did not and never have used. Overall, I think IF you get properly staffed this could be the recovery center most in the area would aspire to be. Oh, and, do something to make those who are there for legal issues but not engaging or being disruptive to be enticed or punished for lack of effort.

The "nurses" at the methadone clinic are terrible. They use the fact that if you don't get your dose, that you'll be sick over your head. None of them are on the same accord. Its a similar experience of going to a fast food restaurant with bad service. And you can sense the high the get off of being in control of your well being. On the other hand the treatment center is great. Both the 30 day and casp program helped to save my life. And the medical staff is great. But those so called nurses at the window of the methadone clinic leave a bad taste in your mouth, and are very unprofessional.

The unwavering passion from the staff is unmatched. Serving so many souls struggling from behavioral health struggles, ranging from substance use, anxiety, to severe and persistent mental health. From the highest levels of leadership, Pyramid staff radiates their "why", which is to provide quality services, many who have faced consistent barriers for support.
