What a great decision to seek out PRC! I knew when I entered my treatment process I was going to need additional help after my thirty day in patient stay. I can not say enough great things about PRC. From the Administration, Staff, Community to sober living everything was a comfortable transition. A truly blessed experience!! Thank you PRC for being a big part in my recovery!! It will always have a place in my soul.

It took a lot for me to get on the phone and accept help but man.. I am so so so thankful I called this place. PA Recovery Center is helping me in many ways and helping me regain a sense of control in my life. I receive a lot of support and love here with no judgment just compassion. I picked this center because of it having all 5 star reviews, and many of them. I am happy to add one more to it! Ownership is amazing, and every staff member gets to know every client on a personal level. The center itself is a wonderful property. My counselor Chris is extremely relatable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bill makes groups fun and impactful. Angie and Pam bring years of inpatient experience to this outpatient experience. Pam’s art therapy breaks up the weeks with fun activities and Megan’s compassion and insight makes you feel comfortable about opening up. Probably my favorite group of the week is the last one on Fridays where Pastor Jay has everyone on the edge of their seat while roaring with laughter. All this creates an amazing community with the sober living being by far best experience in such I have ever had. PRC is an absolute 10/10!

During my time as a therapist at Pennsylvania Recovery Center, I experienced indirect racism in the workplace. I was the only staff member of African descent at the 1026 Winter Street location in Philadelphia, PA. Many of my clients who were also of African descent expressed that they felt mistreated compared to their counterparts, often viewed more as criminals due to their legal charges rather than as individuals seeking recovery. In addition, I personally experienced inappropriate comments in my role. For example, Supervisor stated, "You are a strong Black woman" after attempting to switch clients based on comfort level with the therapist (I have the recording). I found this unprofessional and discriminatory. I believe I was not hired solely for my credentials but rather because the organization sought representation from a Black staff member, a belief reinforced by repeated statements made during my employment. I encourage Pennsylvania Recovery Center to use this as an opportunity for growth —to ensure inclusivity, equity, and cultural sensitivity across all services. Creating a safe and supportive environment for clients of every background is essential in fostering genuine healing and recovery.

This is hands down a 5 star facility and program. The entire staff is professional, supportive, and encouraging during your treatment here. I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have without being there. I did the outpatient program but other patients here enjoyed the housing program. There are a range of therapists to choose from and they’re all great. There are different group therapies to sign up for if you’re interested like yoga, raki, etc. Don’t hesitate and sign up to change your life.

These is a place to be redeemed and start over again.

This program was life-changing. My therapist, Pam, was truly a godsend—her honesty, faith, and personalized assignments guided me to a sense of contentment I had long sought but never thought possible.
