It's been awhile since I have been affiliated with Recovia. I honestly loved going there for there Out-patient care. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. I enjoyed the environment, the groups, the Nurse practitioner's, the Behavioral health specialist, the educational material/activities and the Physical therapy. I wasn't too fond of their Fluorescent lighting, but I am sensitive to bright lights and it seems to activate anxiety. I am giving this rating because I think there is a hole, flaw in the system. After I completed the 6 weeks of Out-patient treatment with flying colors, they have a us pick a length of time to do Supportive Care that follows. I was unfortunate to have a life change in my personal life that made it extremely difficult to go back to Recovia because I got bed bugs back to back which I disclosed to them and they would not let me continue going back until the bugs were gone, which is understandable and I respected that. I had a friend who invited me to go out of town which I chose to go during that period of time and when I was on my way back to Tucson I called Recovia to check in, which to find out that they were going to close me out. I was super shocked and broken hearted. I was super confused to why I am getting closed out. The lady said that I didn't call them enough to keep in contact with them. Which I am disagreement with because I did call them. But when it came to reaching someone no one picked up. That is where the "Hole" /"Flaw" in the system was/is. I called they didn't answer, but when they called me I couldn't answer so we were playing phone tag. Why punish someone who is making an effort on their own mental health, Why ABANDON someone who cares deeply about their mental health and attending? I FELT ABANDONED BY RECOVIA- big time. They got to know me real well and saw my passion, dedication and great effort on my mental health. To be left to nothing-no support from them because of a lack of connecting on both sides. I really think they need to have a better way to "Follow-Through" with the Whole Goal of what they stand for! "To treat the Whole person in a mind-body approach" I also struggle with ADHD and during the time I went there was not being treated for that so they didn't take that in consideration either when making their decision to "Close me out", "Drop me" and "Abandon Me". I did my very best to do everything I could do with the tools I had to continue going there. I advocated for myself and asked if there was anything I could do and they said no. They did say I could go back, but I would have to do Active Care all over again. How does that help me from where I was at currently? I completed Active Care with flying colors. Why do I have to do it again? I felt like it was punishment. How is that going to help me be better at reaching you by phone? It doesn't! The hole is not having a better option for what happened. Why didn't Recovia get punished for not being available when I called in? Why is it one-sided? I think they needed to do better by helping me have different options on reaching them. I found out later that you can email them. I didn't know you could do that while I was attending. Overall, Active Care is great and I recommend. I would warn people to be careful and make sure you call, email or whatever other contacting options they have and make sure you use that. I have been involved in other agencies since and I am continuing to work towards my "Healing Journey" and this is just one of those "Radical Acceptance" moments and a bump in the road that I have had to "Flow" through and use as a learning experience. I will always remember everyone who helped me on my "Healing Journey" and I thank you for the support I got while in Active Care. I am saddened that Supportive Care didn't work out, that did hurt a lot and it brought up the Abandonment wound in me. I have worked my way through that and I am still moving forward. Thank you to everyone who helped with my care at Recovia. It was unfortunate, but It didn't beat me! I am stronger then ever now!

This excellent program of support for those seeking a watershed turning point in their struggle coping with persistent pain, addiction or depression, is highly effective. The entire staff are very good and encouraging. I couldn't be more thankful for my experience with them.

This was a game changer for me. The people who I worked with were so easy to talk with. I now feel I can deal with my feelings better. Also I met others in my journey of life that we helped each other see how we all have challenges. Having the "tools " will make better decisions in life.

Recovia saved my life. I was not doing okay and had no hope for things. Now that I am finished I have the confidence that I am capable to live life now comfortably with my coping skills and techniques that I learned here.

The marketing of Recovia touts treatment for "anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, or negative life events." However, upon intake, I was informed that they do not do any trauma work/mental health deep dives and that any attempts to discuss these topics will be redirected. I acknowledge that not all facilities are equipped to address trauma and work with high-risk people. I'm sure that many people find what they're looking for at Recovia. I, however, do ask that Recovia reconsider their advertising/marketing and intake process to avoid wasting the time and resources of vulnerable people

Hands down the best therapy/physical therapy. it’s been about a month since my last appointment and I feel like a different person, since my first appointment all of the staff is very nice, it doesn’t feel like normal therapy. I would recommend to anyone going through mental health issues or body pain, I went in for both and my back now only hurts sometimes and I now have the skills to fix it and when I’m feeling down in the dumps I also have the skills to help with that as well, if your having any second thoughts about recovia just go for it I promise it’s worth it.
