So far, I am very impressed with the staff at Rosecrantz. Highly recommend!

Horrible place if your son doesn’t participate, they literally say he’s gotta go home. They don’t try to encourage him to participate. The psychiatrist they assigned to your child is a virtual psychiatrist. They are in a residential treatment and they assign virtual psychiatrists, which is ridiculous. they receive enough money to assign psychiatrists that can actually meet him in person. This place is a joke!

They won’t let me speak to my friend there. He is in this rehab and I am extremely worried about him. It’s unacceptable that they have a policy that they can’t let me speak to my friend unless he fills out a release form to let me know he’s there.

i’ve been here because of my substance abuse and mental health 3 times and it really does help. the place is very clean and the staff is so helpful. i actually got the help i needed and just left last week. thank you to all the staff that had support me through my journey even when i was tough. remember, it works if you work it!

For the adolescent substance abuse program the clinicians are organized, fair, but above all skilled. Thankful to have such a good organization close to the Chicago area. Also, my teen said the food is good. Thank you, Rosecrance.

Cherub staff are the best🩷 shoutout to the kitchen staff too they chill fr, the only issues my group had was fighting and staff not preventing fights and conflicts. Also the Cherub washer is nasty and its sad how much we pay to be here just for the appliances to be disgusting and smell like mildew. Saba's amazing and makes everyone smile. the cherub unit staff are mostly nice but all the best staff are no longer there. except V and Ms chris they amazing fr<3

I can only attest to the counselor Becki that worked with our adult son. Otherwise my husband and I cannot comment on our son’s time there because he was released yesterday. Becki was responsive when I’d call. The first evening my son was there he hadn’t received his belongings and was worried and contacted us. I tried to get through to the facility but they were closed. The customer service line was inconsistent with their responses on how to handle this. A couple of customer service representatives told me that we’d get a call back from staff that evening and to no avail. We were exhausted and concerned about our son. The next day Becki the counselor contacted me. She listened to me and told me that our son was safe. She was patient, kind and respectful towards me. Our son thinks highly of Becki as well. Becki is absolutely the best at what she does and Rosecrance is blessed to have her on staff as one of their counselors. While my son was there, they experienced a Covid outbreak. There was apparently staff out so Becki filled in wherever there was a need. We hope that Becki is recognized by her commitment to those entrusted to her and that Rosecrance upper management will favorably acknowledge Becki for her outstanding work ethic and commitment to not only those in recovery who are fortunate to have her as their counselor, but her responsiveness with family members as well.

I took my son here and on day 1, he was punched in the face by another client. He returned the punch in self defense and then a 3rd boy "jumped in" the fight. I was told the 3rd boy was discharged. I was not told that he choked my son until he blacked out. I was told that all the boys were checked out by the nurse and were fine. I was not told about the bruise on my son's check or the broken blood vessels in this eye or the bruises and rug burns on this legs from the fight. According the program manager later, there was "one small woman" in the room who gave the call for help and tried to break of the fight. The boy who punched my son in the face was not discharged. Two days later, he put on a covid mask and disposable gloves and threatened to stab my on in the head with a pencil. Then he was finally discharged. When my son would start to tell me what was going on during a call with him, he would be taken into another room and prevented from telling me more. Because the admin had already left for the day, they expected my son to go back to his room shared with boys he did not feel safe with and wait until morning to deal with the issue. I did not get a call until 3 pm the next day during which the program manager confirmed that my son had been threatened and the other other was discharged. My son then ran from the facilty because he did not feel safe. Their discharge papers make it look like my son was uncooperative and not willing to engage. Who would when you are afraid? I picked him up and hope that they are held accountable for the danger they put my son in. I wish I had read more reviews before sending him. I am far from alone in my concerns. I very much regret my choice in sending him there.
