Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Springfield

My son recently went and he said it was very helpful and in pod A he said they had a strong friendship community built. He said a tech named Nevaeh was the best there. He spent his birthday and Easter there and got treats for both.

My daughter stayed here and it's the best place she has ever been. Two nurses one was British I think nurse Lindsey and Nurse crystal she still talks about today. They genuinely care and take the time to talk and listen to the kids. They have difficult and thankless jobs and I just wanted to thank them and tell them they make a difference! Good job Perimeter.

My daughter is currently here and I received a voicemail of a nurse being incredibly rude to my daughter while hearing her cry in the background. I was told there had been "a little incident" my daughter was punched twice. The police were not called as required by law in the state of Missouri and neither was CPS. I asked if they had her checked out and they said they didn't even take her to a Dr to be looked at that she was fine and they separated the 2 to different pods. My daughter called her father today and said they placed the patient that assaulted her back in the same unit which is absolutely negligent and I will be contacting the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency and the state licensing board/Department of Health. As well as filing charges myself with the police. I've not gotten any real help from the nurse desk it's as if they could care less. I'm looking into my options to have her transferred somewhere else.

This facility seemed great for my 11 yo daughter only for them to put her in a stimulant play games with refilling said medication causing her to have an episode sending us to the e.r when they were warned prior to me consenting to my child being put in this medication so not let this lapse bc ik personally it’s affects this is blantant patient neglect! And child abuse

I love this place I just got out 2/25/26. Kate, Magenta, Lexie, Scarlett, Lyndsey, Sherina, and Raven all need raises and if they don't get a raise I'ma come back there and tear down the ceiling. Also nurse Allison, needs to be fired because she told my 1:1 to let me keep Selfharming while I was bleeding. And a tech named Sammy put her foot over a kids mouth and on their forehead and when someone told on her she lied and said she didn't do anything, she was also being very inappropriate with kids. But other than that I loved the staff and nurses. -Trinity Newman 😝

my nine year old has been here for six days, and tomorrow will be his last full day here. i wanted to leave a review, because the ones i read are terrifying. after a mental health crisis i had no idea what to do or where to turn. i made a phone call and i was given PBH number. from the moment i first called they have went above and beyond it seems. they have been so informative and helpful throughout the entire process. every thing they said that would be done, was done exactly when and how they said. i have spoken to the nurses, doctor, and therapist. each one was so kind and helpful. my son is doing so much better. he has been able to call me three times a day since he arrived. he says the food is absolutely wonderful, the nurses and everyone is kind, that they are kept very entertained with lots of activities through out the day. they were even thrown a little super bowl party, with cookies, toy footballs, and pizza. he said their sleeping arrangements are okay, and that he has been provided with absolutely everything he could need. i was worried he wouldnt have enough to eat, as he has a very big appetite. he told me they gave him extra food whenever he was still hungry after dinner one night. the doctor was very careful and mindful about what medication he was started on. he made sure to only start him on one at a low dose, but gave the option of a higher dose and a second bedtime medicine in the future if needed. i was worried they would overdo it, but the doctor has been amazing. they were able too give me resources i had been trying for years to get, as i kept being put on a waitlist. i am a homeschooling mother, my children have never stayed the night ANYWHERE away from me, not once in their entire lives. and i can genuinely say that i feel completely safe with my child here. each phone call i can tell more of a difference. my son is so much more calm and grounded. i would recommend this place to anyone in need. i do not have a single complaint.
