Absolutely the best rehab experience of many! Feels like home and a family they truly care and the program taught me a lot! Counselors are great! Has a professional music studio! Everything is upscale! Thank You so much Vanity

Had a great experience here, really got down to the root of a lot of issues I dealt with that led me to the bottle. Counseling team was great and relatable as they have mostly all been through it. Food was fantastic, the groups were relatable to what goes on in the minds of addicts, and the recreational activities definitely pertained to a life in recovery. My only honest complaint would be the peers. Carlton relies on a system of self governance called the "support system", and that system has its faults. Chiefly, it only takes a couple bad apples to ruin the bunch. And as clinical staff, I wish they'd do more to correct issues and set the house back on course. Or set the standard with peer house manager and hold them accountable directly to clinical staff. You're dealing with violent felons in the mix who only understand their way or the highway. But even with that fault, I got to learn how to let go of things I couldn't control like others behavior and focus on my own. And that was a huge part of my recovery. I will forever be grateful to Willamette Family. Great place to get treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
Very Structured and doing the best for the most. I feel the Program was too rigid and punitive for my liking. You will have clients/peers giving you orders and petty things that, for me was counterproductive. I feel Carlton House is a very good program and it it worth a try. Did not work for me...in my aspects. The People are good there. Program is lacking for myself...so I left it.
These people are ruthless. They don't care about people and dnt care about their families. They favor others. We got kicked out for having my dog and he is a service animal I looking for lawer to file for discrimination. And half the people here are high on drugs, but we are not so if I was you dnt check into this facility it's not a good choice and they dnt even care that we have a 5 or daughter we ask for a few more hrs to move cuz they gave us a 48 notice and they won't even do that
Best place on earth. Saved my life.
The Carlton house is a joke this place is not set up to help these men be functioning members of society. Not requiring them to work, hold down jobs, pay rent, pay their child support or bills or to be held accountable to anything from their past it's despicable. This place should take some tips from Oxford house because this ain't it
Brother, a non-smoker, started chewing 20 nicotine gums, 4 mg each, per day while there. The med staff hand them out like candy to any patient regardless of smoking status. One nicotine gum equals 2 cigarettes, so he was chewing the equivalent of 2 packs of cigarettes per day. He started vaping and pouching nicotine there, too. Carlton House reinforced addictive behaviours like all-day nicotine ingestion and caffeine consumption, he was chronically sleep deprived and started hallucinating to the point of abruptly leaving the program. He left Carlton House addicted to excessive amounts of nicotine and caffeine, chronically sleep deprived and mentally off-balance. He left in worse condition than he was when he arrived. He overdosed on nicotine every day thanks to Carlton House. He was nauseous and vomited several times while there and nobody seemed to notice his physical deterioration or mental decline. This place does more harm than good for those vulnerable people with addictions and mental health issues. They didn't even offer him a ride back to town the morning he left with their peer support team. He left all alone in a state of mental confusion and physically ill. Grade F -.
Can't handle proper staffing to oblige their federal contracts.
I attended this treatment facility in 2005 and have been clean ever since! I am confident I would not be here today if not for the insight and (God) inspired wisdom of my counsellor. It set me on track to continue working on myself long after; even to this day I remember things like the 11 ways of dishonesty. Thank you Willamette Families!
