I don’t even know where to begin. This has been, by far the best experience of my life. Thank you so very much to Tranquility Woods for assisting me in the ultimate progression in life. I have met unconditional care and friendship with people here. I have never felt at peace this way. True inner peace. The home is warm, beautiful and a great place to recover. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you again so very much Dr. P. and everyone here @Tranquillity Woods.

I have had a fantastic experience at the women's home. Megan is a great house manager. Pool, hot tub, gym, sauna. Lots of room in the house, and plenty of room in the yard. So glad my dog can come visit. Very peaceful pond to relax by with the sounds of nature. Very close to walmart, and target. I hear we will have a grill soon too! ❤️

My experience at the Severn Home in Arnold has been absolutely positive. All of the amenities at the house are remarkable and the property is kept clean. It is a great place to focus on yourself and your recovery as well as meet some good people in recovery. The staff have been very attentive to all of our needs as well as making at least three grocery runs a week. And I can also say the staff truly cares about the recovery of their tenants. We did lots of outside meetings and also an outing on every Saturday. I was also doing their PHP program, which is phenomenal. More staff that truly cares and is relatable. I would highly recommend this facility to anybody who is serious about their recovery and wants to take the extra step.

I am currently here at the Severn Home and will be leaving soon. My time here has been wonderful. This is a great step down from inpatient rehab for those that are looking for continued support and structure. With regards to the staff working at the house, they are great. You will feel like a welcome member of this house. They will listen to your concerns and problems always. A lot of the staff here have been through recovery themselves so they can also understand quite well what you are going through. We read together, hang out together, and there is an outing every Saturday that the house members get to pick. As far as the house itself, there is plenty of space. Three living rooms with fully loaded TVs. One room even has a pool table and dart board. Two kitchens so you can always find room to cook. Hot tub is always running outside. The gym has been the greatest part for me, there is even more equipment in the gym at this point than you see in the pictures. And the bedrooms are wonderful, beds comfy, plenty of room for storing your things you bring with.

Severn Home is an extraordinary recovery house. This 7000 sq ft home is in a class of its own. Located right outside of beautiful Annapolis makes it extremely convenient for all needs in terms of a great journey to recovery. The house management is top notch when it comes to attentiveness and respect for sobriety needs. All members from staff to tenants show what it takes to transition individuals back into the real world in a accommodating yet professional manner. I highly recommend looking no further to the path of creating a brand new positive life for yourself. Severn Home is the place for you!

I have been at Severn Home for about a year and feel I should respond to Chris’s inaccurate review. One must wonder if he had such a bad experience, why did he stay for one year and nine months? The truth is when he was kicked out, he begged and argued to stay even longer, and then vowed revenge on the owner and the other residents. Sadly, he resorts to writing meanspirited reviews. However, the house is so much happier with him gone. Many of us wonder why he wasn’t kicked out long ago because of a long list of problems with him. The truth is this is a fantastic sober house with few relapses. We are a strong community and have a lot of fun. Lots of movies, house dinners and joking around. Sobriety does not have to be boring, and we definitely do not treat it as such. The owner is great and very responsive to all requests and needs. He has been extremely generous and purchases things for the house that I never expected. All maintenance issues and problems we have had since I been here had have been handled quickly, thoroughly and professionally. This is a solid place for men who have completed rehab and intend to stay sober. About half the guys here have stayed for over a year, which is pretty amazing. We must be doing something right.

I lived there for a year and 9 months and thought it would be helpful to provide my review as accurately as possible. I will just list the pros and cons… Pros: NICE LOCATION: - quiet area, easy commute to Baltimore, Annapolis, DC Nice property: huge front yard, nice backyard that has patio, pool, hot tub, woods, nature Cons: DISREPAIR: the house is underpowered for 12 adults (breakers trip all the time), broken gutters, old and inadequate appliances, no stove exhaust fan (smoke alarm blares when cooking), broken mower (tenants have to do all yard work), etc TOO MANY PEOPLE: 12 guys in a house this size is too many, too much going on, laundry is a struggle to squeeze in, kitchen is way too small, gossip, rumors, liars, thieves, messy people, etc BED BUGS: if you like bed bugs, you’ll love this place.. it’s infested with them and the landlord is too cheap to hire a professional exterminator to get rid of them. He makes the tenants deal with it themselves. Good luck with that. UNPROFESSIONAL LANDLORD: incompetent, young, rich, entitled.. you know the type. He comes by now and then to collect rent and check everyone’s rooms, dish out hefty fines for whatever, doesn’t address complaints about problems with maintenance, disrespectfully accuses people of doing things that they didn’t do and punish them for it, etc In addition, the property owner’s son, Kent, who manages the properties, has responded below. I really don’t care to deal with him anymore, but feel it’s important to know the truth. He cites inaccuracies or misinformation in my review. I can assure you everything I wrote is true: He said I broke house rules by working from home and occasionally having customers come by. First of all, there never was any such rule against that and I had been doing that for well over a year before anything was even brought up. Secondly, I never signed any contract or paperwork of any kind at any point there, which he claimed. Thirdly, even after he told me I can’t have customers meet at the house anymore, I never lied to him about it. Also, if he thinks the bed bugs are gone, he doesn’t understand how that works. He is not a very bright guy.. it’s laughable how easily the guys there play him. I’m so grateful to be gone from that highly toxic nut house! I hope this helps with your decision, and most importantly, stay sober.
