Intensive Outpatient Program, Outpatient, Co-Occurring Mental Health

Centrally Located Downtown Wavelengths Sonoma, also known as The Mill, was opened in 2020 in Petaluma, California, the founder Warren Boyd’s hometown. This location serves Sonoma County, California. The center is centrally located in beautiful downtown Petaluma in the historical Great Petaluma Mill building. Treatment options here include intensive outpatient treatment program and an outpatient treatment program. The Mill is intended to help clients who are struggling with sobriety. Clients who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental disorders can seek help here with evidence-based therapies and a holistic approach. A Holistic Approach The Mill has a special holistic approach called Alchemy Wellness, which is a healthcare service designed to help the community make a positive behavioral change to their diet, activity, and mental health. This program includes yoga, physical therapy, sound bath meditation, reiki, acupuncture, and whole food nutrition. The evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), life skills, and group and individual sessions. Wavelengths Sonoma also uses equine therapy to help motivate adults to establish healthy relationships with themselves, friends, and family. Equine therapy at Wavelengths is much more than riding. Working with horses includes feeding and grooming, as well as building a relationship in order to gain their trust. Wavelengths Sonoma, also known as The Mill, is a Wavelengths Recovery program in Sonoma County that is accredited by the Joint Commission.

Recovery Care Offered

Intensive Outpatient Program

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.

Outpatient

Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.

Co-Occurring Mental Health

Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders, which affect the majority of individuals diagnosed, integrates care for mental health conditions with primary substance use. Personalized care plans are crafted to effectively address each condition simultaneously, optimizing the healing process.
