I’m sure this place has helped people that it’s appropriate for, but this was not my case here.I was sent here for addiction I didn’t have, and then knowing this, they kept me here for my rich parents’ money and ignored my needs. I came from an abusive family and told my therapist here many times that I was physically, emotionally, and sexually abused at home by my father, and they never mandatory reported to CPS, effectively breaking multiple laws. I came in for an alleged marijuana addiction, however my use was not daily and I did not exhibit most symptoms for addiction. Even though my correct diagnoses have been found to be unrelated to addiction and risky behaviors due to abuse at home, and my psychoanalysis and UA at Visions all would point to this, not to mention the constant cries for help at home pleading that I wasn’t experiencing addiction, and that I was being abused by my father, they ignored all of these cries and proceeded to take me through exactly what my parents wanted me to do as a gaslighting tactic. It’s perfect, you’re not abused you’re just crazy, and Visions went along with this concept for my parents money. I ended up suffering from Stockholm syndrome, and had to eventually believe I was an addict to go home, just to be sent to another treatment center to be abused at for another full year. I came out with so many more problems than what I came in with. This is the problem with the troubled teen industry. Not every person has an experience like I did, but enough to make these treatment centers an extreme issue and injustice in our medical system. What could you expect when there’s the possibility of making tens of thousands of dollars per child? Money proves to be the root of all evil time and time again.I’m sure if your child is actually suffering from addiction or if you understand what your child is going through well this place could help. But otherwise, stay away from this place by a 10 foot pole. And the worst part was thought I was genuinely better for 3 years after until I came to reality on the Stockholm-type state I was in. It’s only now that I’m 22 years old after coming here when I was 16 that I’ve actually been able to understand the mindset and abuse I was manipulated into receiving here.This place needs to be sued.

This place completely took advantage of my family and I and put me on a plethora of medications it took me YEARS to get off of. I was constantly degraded and told I would end up dead or in prison by 21 (I’m 23 now and living a more happy and blessed life then I could ever imagine) and also wrongfully diagnosed me with severe personality disorders. Don’t let this place use their scare tactics on you and only further traumatize you and your family.

Visions saves so many lives, just like mine. All the staff provides so much support. The clinical team is so amazing and really gets down to the core of the issues and gives you the tools you need to better yourself. I came into visions a complete mess and now I am 2 years sober, doing things I would never imagine I would be doing and it’s all thanks to visions they showed me the way and helped me make a clear path in life. Visions also does great family therapy and really involves your family in your recovery. Me and my families relationship is better than ever thanks to all the therapy we got as a whole at visions! I seriously recommend this place to anyone who is struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, I assure you visions will help you more than you’d ever think.

A few months ago, my husband and I realized that our older child E. was in trouble regarding her mental health. They were profoundly depressed, extremely anxious, and had begun abusing alcohol in order to medicate these difficult conditions.We contacted Visions Teen Residential Treatment and were greeted warmly, despite it being 11:00PM at night. The gentleman that took our call, John, was completely responsive to the panic and worry we were experiencing, and helped us navigate a thorough assessment on the spot!John's follow through was seamless, and our child was admitted in less than 24 hours from the time of our initial call. As seamless as the admission process was - the treatment itself was spectacular. Our child emerged approximately 3 months later without anxiety or depression, a newfound sense of self-esteem and self-worth, as well as a commitment to remain sober. As a family, we were provided weekly support and educational groups, as well as private family therapy, in order to teach us how to more effectively parent E.Ultimately, our child E felt so supported that they were also willing to continue in the Visions Outpatient Program long-term, to insure a sustainable recovery. Visions treated E. comprehensively - mental health, substance abuse, and eating disorder. We will all be forever grateful for the incredible team at Visions!
