First off, I want to acknowledge that this is a beautiful facility to detox from drugs and alcohol. If you're simply looking for a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing environment, this place fits the bill. However, if you’re seeking real, structured treatment and therapeutic engagement, this is not the place for you.
During my stay, I found that the program lacked structure and accountability. Clients were often allowed to sleep or lounge around all day with little to no encouragement to participate in recovery-focused activities. While the staff are kind and do their best, many appear to lack proper training, and only a small number are actually in recovery themselves. Those few who are in recovery do have a better understanding of what we, as addicts, go through, but unfortunately, they are the exception, not the rule.
The amenities here are a definite highlight. The in-house chef prepares nutritious and satisfying meals, snacks are available, and the outings are a welcome break from the routine. However, despite these perks, I found management to be inconsistent and unprofessional. Promises were often made but rarely followed through on, and there was a noticeable tension between staff and leadership. On one occasion, I witnessed a staff member return visibly upset and in tears after being called upstairs for a meeting, which spoke volumes about the internal dynamics.
One standout person during my stay was the house cleaner, Z. She was genuinely kind, down-to-earth, and went far beyond her duties to connect with and support the clients.
There are also some misleading aspects regarding the facility. The website claims there is a pool, but that is not true. The rooms are small, and the layout provides little privacy—particularly concerning when exiting the shower, which can be awkward and uncomfortable when sharing a room with someone you don't know.
All things considered, I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about recovery. While it may serve as a place to safely detox in a calm setting, it lacks the therapeutic structure and accountability necessary for real healing.
