Horizon Recovery-Arrowhead location was the beginning to what would be a long, roller coaster type of recovery for my son but with an amazing ending! My son was at the Arrowhead location for four weeks. Although my son has a different perspective I believe the Arrowhead location was a great starter place for him to start his treatment and journey of gaining self love again. The staff are wonderful! The family liaison Stephanie, truly goes out of her way to make the parents and kids feel heard and comforted. Alta was very informative and knowledgeable about medication management. The staff at the Arrowhead location were welcoming when it came to visitation hours. During this time, there were some changes in the company that kind of shifted some staff around. My son relies on continuity in order to build trust so it was a struggle to get him to open up in the beginning. However, the team continued to work on gaining their trust. This house was an all boys house and had a great structure for them. Thank you so much! This was just part 1 of his time with Horizon Recovery!

Amazing and caring staff. My son has been under their care for over two months and from Alexis to Stephanie, Loy to Cheyenne, Lacey and beyond; everyone has been so so so so loving and nurturing. As a parents it’s scary to have over a child let alone a vulnerable one, but it’s as if I left him with family. I get updates frequently and can see and tell that he’s comfortable and feels safe. I recommend this place hands down.

Where do I start! As parents when our son started stuggling with various things that teens stuggle with , it can be terrifying when you can't find the help or support needed. Feeling helpless as a parent is the worst feeling ever! When we finally found Horizon Recovery we were thrilled and sad at the same time. While the thought of dropping my son off for any length of time, the peace we felt in our heart after our first conversation with Alejandra. When we got to the home to drop off our son I was besides myself. My heart was terrified. How was I going to leave my 14 year old baby behind. The house was warm and comforting. It was beyond clean. The children were happy, group sessions were happening in real time. Everything they said, I saw with my own eyes. Kellie and the team that welcomed us left us with peace as we left our son in their care. The team was caring and welcoming, and beyond loving. Lacey and Aida the therapist did amazing with helping our son break down walls, the staff Loy, Cheyenne, Tamar, and many more (sorry if I left you out) touch my sons life in so many ways. Kyle made sure that Cristian get behind in school while getting treatment, and advocated for him. Melissa on the medical team did amazing with communicating the professional recomendations needed for our son, and it has made a world of difference. Last but not lease we have Steve and Stephanie. Steve worked directly with our son and was a huge influse in is healing and growth and Stephanie was the family liaison. Stephanie has held our hand through this intire process. She gave us updates daily! Both via phone and text. She would communicate day or night! If she had a day off she would let us know who to call. She celebrated with us, and cried with us! She went above and beyond to support not only our baby but us too. We will be forever grateful for the Horizon family! Thank you for what you are doing for these kids and thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my little boy. He's back! God is good!

They have worked closely with my child and have made a difference in our lives. Always willing to answer questions and make sure there is a lot of communication about what is going on.

I am very happy with the RTC at Horizon’s for my 13 year old daughter. Taylor is amazing as the residential supervisor because she makes sure residents are held accountable, get the support and supervision they need, as well as the fact that communication was ongoing and easy with her. My daughter has significant behavior issues and has never successfully finished a program without daily physical aggression or self harm. Adequate supervision and caring, compassionate staff with good boundaries and a consistent follow through with consequences, made this possible. I felt staff listened to me and valued my perspective, even when they couldn’t completely connect to it. Willie was great as he coordinated discharge care and spent way more time with me than efficient, because he genuinely cared and wanted to be supportive and compassionate towards me. He seemed to understand how stressful and grievous it is for a parent to send their child away for more support than a family/school/community can give. Horizon’s is the best RTC I’ve ever come across and that says a lot, considering I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience, working in a variety of settings with children and youth with severe emotional disturbances.
