Straight & Narrow’s Women’s Residential Treatment program offers long-term care for women battling substance use and co-occurring mental health issues. The program supports pregnant women and mothers, even allowing them to live with their newborns after birth. Specialized support is provided to ensure both mother and child receive care. With three residential programs—Alpha I, II, and III—it delivers trauma-informed, compassionate treatment in a structured and safe environment. Whole-Person Healing Through Tailored Therapies The program focuses on healing the whole person, not just the addiction. Therapies are personalized and include individual and group counseling, parenting education, and spiritual guidance. Women also receive help applying for medical and financial benefits like SNAP and Medicaid. This whole-person approach builds self-worth, life skills, and emotional healing, setting women up for lasting recovery. Supportive Living Environment with Family Accommodations Women live in a shared, supportive setting in Paterson, New Jersey. Pregnant clients and mothers live in family-style rooms, allowing them to stay with their children. Indoor group spaces and outdoor areas promote wellness and reflection. Staff also help with transportation needs and child care support when needed.
