to any potential new patients considering coming here: i sincerely urge you to choose another clinic. Dr. Girgis does not have anyone's best interests in mind, and will do everything he can to interrupt & delay your recovery as often as he can. I genuinely believe he has taken this job specifically to punch down at people who are not free to just choose a new doctor/clinic to transfer to whenever they want. He knows the majority of us are stuck in this hell with him for a wide variety of reasons and so he refuses to hear our concerns or treat us with even the most basic consideration that any good doctor would. but, Girgis is not a good doctor. not even close. the only people here who will have your back are the counselors if youre lucky to get a good one. but Girgis wont listen to them either. in fact he will go behind their backs to have case sessions with people who have never even met you, rather than the ones who have spent literal hours talking with you. he does that for a reason; he doesn't like to be called out on his inability/blatant refusal to do his job. I keep deleting this review because I know for a fact that he will seek retaliation for it if he connects it to me. but at this point, i dont care anymore. Girgis is by far the worst thing to have happened to this clinic in years. it's been barreling downhill ever since his return and i'm tired of staying silent for fear of rocking the boat. something needs to change. he needs to either re-evaluate his motivations for "working" here or he needs to find new employment where his patients aren't literally trapped with him.

I would like to thank everyone at this clinic they went above and beyond for me.. I got stuck here from the other side of the country (Boston) in my sobriety was severely in jeopardy and the nurses and staff Made it so I was able to guest dose. I just wanna say thank you to all of you....

I've noticed a concerning inconsistency in how some staff members treat patients at the addiction treatment center. While the goal is to support individuals overcoming addiction, some employees show empathy and compassion,while others do not. I believe it's essential for all staff to provide equal kindness and understanding, as quitting an addiction is a challenging and delicate process. I want to acknowledge counselor Jennifer and Edwin, who demonstrate genuine care and compassion.Their approach makes a significant difference in creating a supportive environment. I hope that all staff members will strive to provide the same level of empathy, helping patients feel comfortable and empowered throughout their recovery journey. Despite these concerns, I appreciate the centers commitment to helping individuals overcome addiction and hope to see continued growth and improvements.

I have gone here a few times and they have always helped me a lot. Rhonda and Wendy are hands down the best counselors there. They really care and are compassionate and understanding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💖

The Aegis Treatment Center on 21st Street, Bakersfield CA. is a well run facility with very few hiccups in the daily routine. The front desk nurses are informative and efficient in there duties, as are the nurses that handle distribution of the meds.(Very professional). The counseling staff are well educated and experienced in there positions. Not to be forgotten how well management runs the show. This clinic has my good recommendation because of the professional and friendly personable nature of the whole staff.

The worst if you happen to have the insurance that Aegis likes you are ok if not you get to pay $300.00 a month. I do not have the money, ever though our insurance is in "Network" we get to pay, they only care about the MONEY!!!! GREAT job caring for the patient.

I have seen SO many ways and means to get clean, and most agencies in this town are corrupt to the core, HOWEVER.... This place has been spectacular. Staff are so helpful and nice. Front desk staff: cheerful and helpful Even at 5AM. with a line of ex-users being grumpy at them. //Hey users, if you can wait at a connects place for 2 hours just to get a dime, you can control it here// Nurses: swift and efficient, Also in a good mood at 5AM. Anyone who says different is just wrong...ladie you simply crush it even a long line moves fast with you all there. Counsellors: I can't say enough here, so simply put, Ariana - I wouldn't have come this far without you, serious, whomever gets you after your move is lucky beyond words. And now Tenaya let's keep it going, so far so great. THANK YOU one and all. I NEEDED serious help, and got an entire team of serious help. I now have the rest of my life, and not a gravestone.
