Doctors were knowledgeable and very helpful. They were quick to get me a treatment plan.

I took the maternity class at Banner, and it was extremely helpful. It allowed me to better orient myself within the hospital and know what to expect on the day of delivery, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Thanks to that class, I also knew what to expect that day. A tip for moms: I’ll leave photos here of the products I was given at the hospital. I would recommend not buying too many items in advance and waiting to see what you actually need. On the other hand, the medical care was excellent. Dr. Powers, the residents, and the nurses were wonderful—from the nurses who received me when I arrived, to those who supported me during labor, and the postpartum nurses. They were always attentive, caring, and made sure I felt supported at all times. I never felt alone. Mina will forever have a place in my heart—she was incredibly sweet and attentive. I also want to highlight that the care and treatment toward my husband and my mom were excellent; they felt well taken care of and respected at all times. Overall, the experience was very positive. The only thing I would mention—and I understand this may be related to insurance rather than the hospital itself—is that during labor I had to provide all my insurance information again, even though they already had it on file. That was the most difficult part, since I was in active labor at the time. However, since I was expecting it, I remained patient. If this process could be simplified or avoided at that moment, it would be even better. There are some questions they will ask you that you can request to answer at a later time or wait until your husband or support person is with you. I was able to answer them at the moment, but I honestly don’t recommend it—at the time I answered, but later I couldn’t even remember exactly what I had been asked. Even so, I would absolutely recommend Banner Hospital for the human quality and professionalism of their team. Español: Hice el curso de maternidad en Banner y fue de muchísima ayuda. Lo único que podría acotar —y entiendo que quizá no depende directamente del hospital, sino del seguro— es que durante el trabajo de parto tuve que volver a dar todos mis datos del seguro, a pesar de que ya los tenían registrados. Ese fue el momento más difícil, ya que estaba en pleno labor de parto. Sin embargo, como ya lo tenía previsto, fui paciente. Si este proceso pudiera simplificarse o evitarse en ese momento, sería aún mejor. Hay preguntas que te hacen y que puedes pedir responder en otro momento, o esperar a que esté tu esposo o la persona que te acompaña. Yo pude responder en el momento, pero sinceramente no lo recomiendo, porque después no recordaba exactamente qué me habían preguntado. Aun así, recomiendo totalmente Banner Hospital por la calidad humana y profesional de todo su equipo.

So happy with my experience today. The front desk people were nice, the PA was nice and competent, and Dr. Curley was seriously the best. She was so chill, made me laugh and made me feel very comfortable (even while have a speculum in my body). She talked through everything and was happy to answer any of my questions. Thank you!!!

My name is Jaynae Robinson. The following statement is my experience with the Women's Institute at Banner University Medical Center: Dr. Kho was wonderful. Her bedside manner is above reproach. I thank God that he provided Dr. Kho with the knowledge and surgical skill to help me with the problem that I had. Her and her staff, made it a wonderful experience from the beginning until the end. I hope that the Lord blesses her to continue to practice for many years to come. And that she maintains the same staff for as long as she needs them.

The only reason they get one star is because the office experience and the staff and nurses wasn’t bad and they were nice , with that being said , I was supposed to have a surgery, took time off from work , did everything I was supposed to do was cleared for surgery, then rescheduled because of insurance, was told the problem would be resolved, then find out because the office did not provide enough info to the insurance doctor said the surgery was unnecessary, also the office keeps calling to schedule me with a cardiologist, even though my primary doctor cleared me for surgery after a ekg, that banner read wrong , the communication at this office is horrible, I was supposed to have a telemedicine appointment, was left hanging and then called a hour past the appointment by the doctor who didn’t even know who I was or what surgery she was supposed to be doing, I have had surgery in the past and have never had anything like this , will never go back to banner for anything

Before I go into the details behind the 'two star' review, I would like to say that Dr. Saunders and her team are excellent providers. ... Banner Women University was my obgyn provider for years and I never had issues when it came to basic gyno( paps, bc, etc.). However, I had a serious case earlier this year. While I would like to acknowledge that this is a teaching hospital, the quality of care and comfort for patients should be the main concern - always. I advocated for myself in multiple situations and was met with hostility by resident physicians and eventually told that I need to find a new provider by Dr. Curley - minutes before going under anesthesia for a procedure. So I did. My new OBGyn provider is absolutely incredible. Thanks Banner University.

So I did have to wait a couple months for my appointment but that was kind of my fault I’m not pregnant or anything but I’ve had this continuing issue for years and I’ve seen doctors before for it and nobody would ever help me I’m on Medicare I’m not rich I went into this place I also have some health issues I wasn’t judged at all they’re gonna help me they’re gonna do a procedure to see what’s going on with me they’re the first doctor to ever do that I’m so Happy They made me feel very comfortable they didn’t make me feel as shame and I’m just grateful thank Maybe something now we can get somewhere and I can find out what’s going on with me this has been years in the making this is the only doctor that has offered to help me at all in 10 years so thank you so much I definitely recommend it seems like they really know what They are doing

Once you get in to see the physicians and doctors, things are fantastic. They’re thorough, kind and attentive. I have really enjoyed my experiences here and have felt taken care of by them over the years. This review in no way reflects upon the wonderful nurses, physicians and doctors and I’d give them all fantastic reviews. The major downside here is you have to get past the administrative staff to schedule an appoint and that is a nightmare. Banner needs to do a better job with their operations department because the folks on the line at number provided for the women’s institute aren’t knowledgeable, have messed up multiple things up on multiple occasions and given me incorrect information several times. My only course of action is to call back until I get someone who actually knows what they’re talking about, which is incredibly frustrating. Ultimately my needs are pretty basic and I like the doctors but if you have more substantial needs, I’d factor this into your decision for where to go.
