I love casa palmera, it is the most caring and loving environment I've ever been in, I did gr8 work there and I love that place, it has a special place in my ❤️ Thank you casa palmera I love you

My experience at Casa this time around compared to 2 years ago was much worse. Half the BHT staff were rude and useless. They would put aside whatever you needed help with like it didn’t matter (Gabe,Gigi and Kyle) also the way they ran groups was not great either, very unorganized and not helpful for recovery. The only positive thing I came out of casa with was the I did like my Theripist (Keith) very disappointed in the overall experience this time around

I spent six weeks at Casa Palmera just recently. The whole staff was attentive to my needs no matter what hour of the day it was. I had an opportunity to get to the bottom of some of my personal issues and I learned a lot from other patients during group sessions. Everyone there seemed to have a lot more in common than was said and our connections we were making at the time I was there strengthened recovery. Casa Palmera was responsive to my inquiries and needs. I was inspired by the way their team creatively boosted group engagement. The handling of contraband became a personal hassle I experienced, but every time I needed something from my contraband, the staff handled it professionally and mindfully. I am a tech savvy individual myself so I communicated that to staff and an arrangement was met to help accommodate that part of who I am. Things like that made me feel great about being there. I really enjoyed the outing I went on to play kickball and drive alongside the beach. Holy smokes, I didn't think it was possible to come out of that six weeks with a new perspective on recovery, but it happened and I'm feeling much more motivated to continue. This felt like the acceleration I needed to have in my recovery to stay on the rails. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my meals there and have no complaints on that whatsoever. Coffee was always out when it was scheduled to be too. Casa Palmera hit the ball out of the park the whole six weeks I was there and I'm pretty sure they will continue to do so. I have every confidence that the next patient going into their care will have a positive experience that they can recall on for a lifetime. The whole staff are all great at what they do and love what they do, which is very important to me. I could also see that the whole staff holds themselves to a high standard and high level of discipline, which is what I want to continue to do for myself and family. My mood swings were taken seriously and cared for appropriately. My medication was quickly adjusted to ensure that I was keeping on the right track as well. This made for a smooth transition back to my primary psych with Casa Palmera's updates to my medication. The 24/7 approach to treatment enabled me to make up for lost time and I would go back again in a heartbeat if need be. I highly recommend Casa Palmera to anyone that needs to be at a treatment center, no matter what stage of recovery you're in. Many thanks, Jacob L.

They called the cops on me then tried making up lies to the peace officer about me, all because I refused to take a medication, and the director tried making up lies about me to the cops just to get me out of the place. After talking with the cops, they realized nothing was wrong with me, Casa kicked me out that Saturday morning ubering me back home. Don’t go here unless you’re willing to feel like you are in a hospital instead of an actual rehab. Talk about a weird liberal program top 10 worse programs in California

It’s better than other places. I’ll give it that. However, they drop the ball on a lot of stuff. On top of it all, while I was they were understaffed. Some of the people employed think very highly of theirselves like their stuff doesn’t stink too. Also, they need to consider what the patient wants more and not threaten them with “You won’t get through this and go to blah blah blah program if you don’t do what I think is what you need”

I was at Casa Palmera back in 2008. I had been an opiate addict for over 25 years. One day I came home and two of my daughters had my bags packed, gave me an ultimatum, them or the drugs, and drove me to Casa Palmera. I stayed for two months. I have never relapsed, never even thought about it. I am a grandmother now and her to babysit and be an integral part of my family. Not sure if Doug is still there, but IMO he was the glue that held that place together. I will forever have a place in my heart for him. David Gray was my therapist.. if not for Casa Palmera I would probably be dead by now. I owe them my life.

Casa Palmera did an exceptional job. The food was stellar, and they care about their patients. They teach us with the skills necessary to build the life we dream of all done in a supportive environment. They understand each patients individual needs and they have multiple tracks to their treatment approach. They treated me with respect. This is the place to go when you are needing to get back on your feet.

Having had my first cigarette at 11 years old from traumatic upbringing and many later traumatic events that caused me other multiple addictions and being a functioning addict, I ended up going here years ago after being released from the hospital after being close to death from addiction. It was a totally different team back then, and I can’t say how it is now, but then they did help me. I played the piano, and people called me the piano girl lol just made up my own songs and played. I had no idea some of the people there would sit outside the room listen to me play until it was brought to my attention. It was a happy moment, and they also made my birthday really special. I am always grateful for everything they did for me. I have been clean for the remaining time since I haven’t been here. I think I’ll always struggle with trauma, and some of it I may not ever remember, but at least I haven’t relapsed, so they did their job well. I have happy memories from here to look back on.
