Before finding Able2Change, I was in a really dark cycle of relapsing and losing hope. The program here was a game-changer because they actually addressed my mental health alongside the chemical dependency. I finally have my life back, my family trusts me again, and I wake up with a purpose every day. I can't thank the counselors enough for their patience and guidance through the hardest time of my life.

The staff at Center for Discovery are caring, patient, understanding and inspiring leaders. Specifically my care team including: Michelle, Ruqaya and Stacey, who helped me discover strengths I didn’t know I had, challenged me to grow, and celebrated every small victory along the way with me. Their compassion, expertise, and unwavering belief in me made all the difference. Since graduating almost two years ago with Binge Eating Disorder, my life looks completely different. I’m finally able to live freely, take up space in my body, and embrace happiness in a way I never thought possible. My recovery isn’t just about healing; it’s about thriving at every size. Being in a higher level of care was worth every second to get me healthy! I am forever grateful to Center for Discovery for guiding me through the most difficult chapter of my life, and for helping me become the person I am today. I still use my DBT, CBT, and ERP tools to this day! I would recommend my family/friends and anyone who feels they need extra support right now to contact Center for Discovery! I’m sure they offer quality help; but, unfortunately I wouldn’t know. I was told to come in for an intake on a day when apparently it wasn’t even open. Then, I was told they were waiting to find out whether or not my insurance covered my treatment, which is understandable, but should’ve been communicated before I was told I could be admitted. THEN, I was contacted and told that they could restart the verification of benefits, but that if it went through I’d be 100% covered. Only to be told, “‘My mistake, your out of pocket cost would be $7,000.” There’s a huge difference between being completely covered and having that amount of an out of pocket cost. The back-and-forth between my employer and this facility regarding whether or not I was starting a program and when added to the mounting frustration that resulted in me being hospitalized. It’s hard enough to come to the realization that you need to accept life-saving help. I highly recommend this team improves their communication. It’s already frustrating being a therapist feeling like I have to be there for everyone, but then doors close and it’s so hard to get the help that I need. I hope no one else has the disheartening, confusing, frustrating, waste-of-time experience I had with this facility. It’s hard enough having an eating disorder. It’s even harder when it doesn’t even seem like anyone really cares about how dire your need for help is.

This place is absolutely terrible . I gained less than a pound in my 6 week php. The people there do not care about you especially the main chick Raquell. She berated a child in her office and she ran out crying. She would also use up all the food so the people with EATING DISORDERS couldn’t eat. They have freezing cold food and nutrition info EVERYWHERE. Everything is so cheap and they are budgeting so much that there is barely any food. The therapists yell at you when you don’t talk in groups. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. All the other people there are extremely depressed and share ed secrets. The dietitians and therapists could give less of a crap about you. The meal plans are absolutely horrible and are super easy to cheat or calculate the calories. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Overall it’s a total cash grab WORST. PLACE . EVER.

Such a horrible place and staff are trying to minimize resources and support for clients.

Attended this facility over a year ago and got the desired help I needed, but am now receiving a VERY large bill, ($22,000 to be exact) with no explanation & I am getting no help at all with the billing dept. So many discrepancies on your end with my insurance company and it is causing a lot of issues for me WELL over a year after i attended. i am very disappointed in the customer service dept. and my insurance agent & I got hung up on by Anne in Billing while expressing my frustration. It took over 30 minutes and multiple different try’s to get ahold of an actual person from billing, and again we got “disconnected” multiple times while trying to get help. I am very unhappy and I will not be recommending this treatment program to anyone given the situation with the billing. I’m very disappointed.
