Only come here if it’s your only and last option, unfortunately I have to go here every day after transferring from a clinic that trusted me and wanted to see me so well and help me with thre resources to do so. This is the opposite I was unlucky enough to get a Counseler named Ophir who basically worked against me in every way she could refused to contact the previous clinic to transfer my medical records and to get to know me and who I am as a person. Which causes me to have to drive from Philadelphia to here 6 days a week. They also incorrectly drug test. I do not use stimulants but they claimed I tested positive for cocaine and when I asked to be re tested I was ignored and then Ophir was rude and condescending claiming im addicted to Cocaine. But even better a week later she decided I wasn’t fit for the clinic and tried to kick me out due to having pain, unfortunately it did not go the way she wanted and I am being transferred out to somewhere that will actually help me. The supervisor and another Counseler John are helpful and respectful and treat me with sympathy which is key in this field. But please beware of Ophir, I have reported her to the state controlled substance board aswell. I don’t think anyone should be treated like this period.

I've been going to this clinic for 6 years. When I started I didn't know much about methadone so I just listened to the Drs, and now I feel like a prisoner to methadone. All the Drs just tell everyone to raise their dose. That's because it's incredibly hard to detox from methadone. And as long as you need it, they're making money. It's all about money. This clinic has more stupid rules than any clinic anywhere. Half the time the nurses sit around and talk to each other while they should be working. They know there's nothing you can do but wait for them. They're constantly getting new employees (nurses and counselors) because they don't pay enough and there's so much bullshit to deal with. It's impossible to get comfortable with your counselor because every couple months you get a new one because they all end up quitting. They open at 5 am, but from 5-5:45 they only allow people with jobs to enter the building and get medicated. They actually make non workers wait outside, even if there's no one waiting to get dosed. It's because of this I'm transferring to Affinity in Cherry Hill. Today the girl at the front desk gave me such a hard time because I used a friends work card so I could get medicated at 5:30 instead of waiting until 5:45. She tried to take the work card from me. She made such a big deal out of a small thing. There wasn't anyone in the clinic at that time. There's no way I'm gonna let some minimum wage kid on a power trip try to intimidate me. Everyone who works there is drunk with power. And instead of helping addicts all they care about is money. If you're thinking of starting methadone, theres so many better clinics in the area. This one will end up being your biggest regret if you go here.

I have to thank them for getting me off the street. And it did change my life for the better. 💯 better but there is a very high turn over in employees and nurses. Wich can be quite annoying at times. Ive been there for some time and for the last two months I've been having nothing but problems with my medication. At first I thought it was me. So I saw one of the doctors and even he could see over a computer visit that I wasn't doing well. I hope this changes. If not something bad is going to happen I feel. Oh and by the way the sky is black lol.

Good day, I have to say that being a addict, there are not any minorities, creed or religions that get treated differently. There are people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired and are ready to take their lives back. Then there are some that are forced into it either by family, friends or legal issues. Then a few that get it and abuse it like any narcotics. There are generational gaps with us also. I used for 12 yrs in Kensington Philly and this year I will have 13 yrs clean with maintenance program. It hasn't been easy and my health has been suffering big time from my abuse. Like 2 open heart valve transplants, pacer pacemaker, shock vest, stage 3 COPD w/oxygen use. Chronic congestive heart failure on my right side. I'm not looking for pity or sympathy. I made bad choices, but if you feel like you are being treated differently then someone else, or you see or think someone else is getting breaks or perks that you aren't,.. I'm sorry but my opinion only is this, don't worry about anyone else's struggles and achievements but your own . Also let your actions speak for you instead of your mouth. Once you are doing right and pushing forward on your journey to living clean, people will see that. You may even be surprised about who is watching and support you. I didn't write this review to tell you that the sky is purple when you know it's blue. I wrote it bc I been in it for over a decade and it saved my life. I hope anyone who reads this and can relate from it will pay it forward. If only one person learns something from my mistakes and achievements then it was worth it for me to write it and you all ARE worth it too.This place and others like it are saving lives one person at a time and I thank anyone and everyone that works there. All you guys and gals are amazing. Last thing, Addiction has just recently been getting national attention and help finally and with what is going on in our nation and government.... How long before us addicts are treated like criminals, locked up and get pushed back into the closet? God Bless us ALL 🙏+💪=✌️

All I can say is Thank you Delaware treatment!Such a big difference from Atlantic Ave.And the staff from billing are such a big help.

AS FAR AS TREATMENT, THEY ARE EXCELLENT, IVE BEEN BLESSED WITH AN AWESOME COUNSELOR,But!! The higher ups I'll call those in position to call shot an make the right decision, .They abuse authority, and take full advantage of the Authority too truly help in serious conditions such as mine, I really feel something that has plagued minorities for years, it hurts to feel that help here at Delval, has limits.

Been going here 8plus years. Start date is in 2016 Never had any issues with doing what I have to do to comply, from clean UA , bringing back bottles every single time, counseling session every time, you name it I do it. however they’ve made multiple mistakes one being by putting someone else’s whole name and ID number under my name who had a dirty UA and I was supposed to just say it’s ok and shrug it off. They’ve also done a number of things but never were held accountable for it. Now after being here for so long one mistake has been made because I’m human and I accidentally lost a bottle that I did take, so it was empty, I tried explaining to nursing, but no they just took everything I worked for over one mistake. I’m still waiting for a response on what they’re going to do since it happened a week ago. I was honest I called my counselor immediately when I noticed and let him know so he could make note of but of course I haven’t received a call or anything, they claim to care about their patients but that’s not the vibe I get !! So I’m going to handle it.

I’m still here and I can’t say that I would be if it wasn’t for DelVal. They haven’t given up on me yet so I’m not giving up!
