Eating Recovery Center San Antonio

Very rude and disrespectful staff. The communication is off. We have had several referrals sent in the past 6 months no one ever returned phone calls or even gave a care to call back. When I called this morning it was very I don’t care like attitude.

Therapeutic service was great and helped me in many ways .

What they are doing here at ERC San Antonio is groundbreaking and they have the greatest staff to support the needs of their patients. We were incredibly happy to see such care be provided for our loved one and appreciate the help they have given us along with the advice they were able to supply.

This place is not qualified to treat individuals at all. We brought our daughter in to receive treatment for an eating disorder and abusive of laxatives. We were told it was a 6 to 8 week program. Shortly after her arrival, we were told she would definitely need at least seven weeks. We asked how much it would be they gave us a fee and we paid it immediately. She was originally placed at a level one, which is the beginning stage of support. At this level, there is significant therapy and support. She started the program and she maintained on that low level for a long time. During her stay, she tested positive for both THC and for alcohol (some of which she acquired inside the facility and may have even used in the facility) and they neglected to inform us. Instead, they prescribed medication for her alcohol use that would help limit the desire to get drunk alone in the apartment that she’s not supervised. Unfortunately, they neglected to tell us that they wrote a prescription for a medication. So she didn’t take it because it was not picked up. At that point, we were informed that although they just got her to the very important part of the therapy, they were gonna need to let her go because the insurance ran out of money. So they told us that we could continue to do their therapy at home. The kind caring and family oriented young lady that we sent there who had an eating disorder came back and abusive alcoholic and drug user. Beware do not send your children here.

Putting this near so many restaurants is criminal

Would give zero stars if I could. Made me feel worse about myself and my eating disorder. Don't tell them what your favorite flavors are and the flavors you don't like.. they will force you to eat what you can't stand so you can "get over" your food issues. I also had a false positive urine test (that was later proven as a false postive) for cocaine.. and was accused of being a drug addict. DO NOT SEND YOURSELF OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!!! Made my depression and anxiety worse as well. Very young staff (seemed right out of high school) with no empathy.

Professional, knowledgeable, clean, friendly. I was apprehensive at first, but after going in everyone was so pleasant I felt much more at ease. Without going into to much personal detail, I am excited to see a future with the support I needed to better myself!

So I promised myself I wouldn’t post a review but after receiving a bill after asking time after time they assured me I wouldn’t get one. Where do I begin, when my daughter started the program I told them from the start I didn’t know if she would continue after September 30 due to my job and insurance changing because the company I worked got bought out. I’m a single parent and it’s only my income no child support and my insurance was going up 300 more a month. I told them I was probably pulling her out and they threatened me with CPS, after time after time I told them we didn’t know if she would continue. Her therapist Brian V, was very unprofessional about the situation and used CPS quite frequently knowing I couldn’t afford the program, especially since it’s almost 10k a week. Down the road my daughter comes home one day and tells me they prescribed her more meds, I told her since she was a minor they are supposed to call me to let me know if they saw you. It took them a week to call me to let me know she had more meds to be picked up. I’ve been in the medical field for 20 years and I’ve never met a place so unorganized and unprofessional as they were. It’s a joke. I’m just grateful that my daughter is ok but at the end of the rehab she didn’t even know what food tasted like she just knew she needed to eat.
