Leaving 1 star because 0 is not an option. *Just learned this facility is being investigated by CA Department of Insurance, save yourself the headache and steer clear Unfortunately this is a very predatory facility operating under the guise of "treatment". As far as detox goes, they do not taper patients which results in highly over medicating. There is a nurse on site for approximately 30 minutes Monday Wednesday and Friday. Medication is not picked up in the afternoon, on weekends and when there is no staff. This means you can arrive for detox Friday afternoon, and expect your first dose on Monday afternoon. Patients are routinely left by and in the pool with no supervision while on copious amounts of valium and Ativan. The house is nice, empty, cold, but the structure is that of a nice house. The pictures look great on the website. Don't be fooled, protect your loved ones and do not send them here.

Personally I have been through so many treatment centers for 20 years and by far this has been the most beneficial place I have ever been treated. I've been fighting my alcohol and addiction for half my life and thought it was the substances but found out its because im not in touch with my emotions/feelings... and I was hopeless... but now I am hopeful. I have transformed, in a short time to become a better person for my future and detox wasnt easy but the staff, techs, medical team, after care team and even the owner ACTUALLY care about getting clients sober and giving the tools that I need to stay sober . I am halfway through and the staff all have been so supportive, understanding and encouraging. Here at the ranch they have shown me that I am worth staying sober for and staying sober for. From the first contact for assessment over the phone with Bill... Dan who picked me up from the airport these are mostly people who have been where we are and area living in...... to a outside meeting on the beach sand yesterday I cannot express how positive and life changing this place has been thus far ... the facilitators don't lecture, they engage... If you're struggling and have been through so many treatment centers or had counselors tell you what you need to do and have treated you as a number. This place is amazing. The ranch only has six beds total... (5) cause the private rooms.... but ultimately, they care about you as a person and they believe that every person has a different journey. It's not the same for all of us in here. So we can't have the exact same treatment plan. Give it a try. Worst case scenario you'll find yourself in a sober environment...... This is an amazing place, and I still got time here to take advantage of even more of what this treatment center has to offer. When I make it to the next phase if I can add to my review, I will... if you have a family member struggling, please consider this place before it's too late, grata means grateful, and GRATEFUL I AM

Grata rescued me. It provided me a life-saver when I needed it desperately. A beautiful, safe and supportive space! An incredible all-round program and staff - which facilitated a radical change in my thinking and behavior. I was drowning in alcohol addiction, in more ways than one. I was skeptical and fearful of rehab, and really resisted it, despite the pleading of loved ones. But Jason and Lou, the owner and admissions coordinator, played pivotal roles in helping me overcome my fears, concretely problem-solve some logistical obstacles for me to step in. For this, I am eternally grateful to them, and to Grata Ranch, its beauty and its staff – for saving my life, literally and in making my life meaningful again. Jason had emphasized the “healing power of nature”, and I was initially skeptical, but it turned out to be a crucial part of my recovery, both the perspectives offered by the sunsets, the hawks, and the vistas, but also (re)generating my love of nature, something that had been drowned at the bottom of the bottle, as had my passion for reading, for humor, for art, theater - and my ability to show up for the ones I love most. From the moment I stepped in, through the intake, detox, and throughout my stay there, all of the staff were unbelievably compassionate, with expertise and understanding that contributed to the overall experience – the medical and therapeutic, the various facilitators and counselors, the tech and house staff, etc. The program itself is extremely well-curated, with a lot of attention from Jason and Kylie, the coordinator, for a 360-approach to really provide the thinking, tools and foundation for a lifestyle of recovery, reinforced with an after-care transition program back into the real world, customized by Sherry. Because I largely worked during my stay there, and had some very specific medical needs due to a chronic health condition, Jason and the staff ensured I was getting the most out of the program, while being flexible and accommodating where needed, and I felt very welcomed through this. At the same time, some counselors/facilitators called BS on me at decisive times, and this much-needed caution/advice really helped me confront my addiction and change, with seriousness and discipline, for the better, for the long-term. The staff really - really - care, and a lot of them had been where I was, which helped. I felt an immediate sense of relief upon admission, but what I came to realize over time is how all the different elements of the Ranch –the beautiful outdoors, the counselors and group sessions, the yoga, the exercise and the art-therapy, the Chef’s gourmet-cooking, the informal conversations with staff, the environment fostered by staff among the clients/patients, and more – came together in tangible and intangible ways for an overall positive, healing and, dare I say, life-saving/changing experience. At the same time, even with this ‘miracle,’ the disease of alcoholism especially out in the ‘real world’ remains ‘cunning, baffling and powerful,’ as AA warns, and sobriety is a challenge that has to be met, ‘one day at a time.’ This is the best way I can reclaim and live life, and to stay grateful to Grata, the Italian for grateful, as I learnt!

There’s no other way to put it, Grata Ranch saved my life. I have been to other treatment facilities, and no where else have I received the level of care, attention, and treatment that I received while here. The facility itself was perfect. Clearly designed with the intentions to provide a comfortable, accommodating, and safe location for those in need of help. There are spaces specifically created to encourage and promote social interactions, as well as areas more suited for acquiring moments of solitude and mindfulness. Whatever I needed as I progressed through my early days of recovery, this location more than provided. As nice as the facility itself is, the true reason this treatment center saved my life from addiction was the staff. There is not enough that can be said for what this staff does each and every day for their clients. At every single level, starting from your driver who brings you to the facility, to the daily staff, to the medical team, all the way to the owners, you will experience the exact same things. And that is truly genuine empathy, caring, knowledge, and professionalism. I have never been more heard, felt more understood, or was more welcomed and cared for than I was while at Grata Ranch. I received a personal fitness trainer who catered a plan specific for me, had a personal chef who crafted amazing dishes that could only be considered art, and had an entire daily team who provided the clients with almost anything we requested to ensure we were content and comfortable, with the patience of saints. The therapists and psychologists made a point to meet me daily, providing the epitome of treatment. Anyone would be hard pressed to find the level of knowledge, experience, guidance, and understanding that this doctors were able to provide. Even the owner was present daily, taking aside his own time and energy just to connect with me and to ensure I had everything I needed to succeed in overcoming my addictions. I could continue on forever about all the amazing things Grata Range has to offer, and it would still not be enough for me to express my gratitude to this location and its staff. For all these things and more, I will never forget this team.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Grata House . From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. The facility itself is clean, modern, and well designed to promote healing and comfort. It never felt clinical or cold like other places I wont mention. It was a calm and peaceful environment that really helped me focus on recovery. What truly set this place apart was the staff. Every single person from the counselors and medical team to the support staffwas genuinely caring, nonjudgmental, and encouraging. They took the time to get to know me as a person, not just as a patient, and tailored my treatment to what I actually needed. Their compassion and dedication made all the difference. Most importantly, the results speak for themselves. I left the program feeling stronger, more self-aware, and better equipped to handle life without substances. The tools I gained here continue to guide me every day. I’m truly grateful for everything this center has done for me, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking real, lasting recovery.

My life changing expierience started March15, 2025 at Grata Ranch! I can't express enough gratitude for the incredible support. and care I received at Grata. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with understanding and compassion. The staff truly goes above and beyond to create a safe and welcoming environment. The treatment programs are tailored to meet individials needs, and I appreciated the holistic approach they took, addressing both the mind and body. The. therapist are knowledgeable, empathetic and genuinely invested in the recovery journey of each client. The owners Jason and Gino are extermely amazing and there to help every step of the way, they have hand picked the staff to show the true meaning of Grata (welcome). I had to save the best for last Chef Craig makes the most delcious and healthy meals with organic ingriedients grown on the Ranch. He also makes sure that everyone has their specific diet needs. Thanks to the skills and tools I gained during my time there, I feel empowered to facethe. world again. I would highly recommend Grata Ranch to anyone seeking help to recover; it's a place. for healing and hope. Thank You Jason, Gino and the staff at Grata Ranch for changing my life.

Amazing place. I am indebted to them for my sobriety and recovery. I have been to a number of detox and residential rehabilitation centers and never experienced this level of care and concern. Everyone, from the cleaning people to the owners, were fantastic. It’s refreshing to find a place that cares more about the person than their financial contribution. Thank you Grata.
