I'm writing this to warn anyone considering coming to this facility about what to expect. The staff here have serious attitude problems. They're rude, unprofessional, and act like they don't want to be there. Many of them yell at clients, sometimes early in the morning - which creates a hostile environment. The customer service is terrible, and the energy from staff feels bitter and miserable. You probably won't get good sleep here. Both clients and staff yell frequently, making it a chaotic environment. This is especially difficult if you're trying to maintain your sobriety or mental health. If you do end up here, please have an outlet - whether it's working out, listening to music, getting fresh air, or eating good food if you have the money for it. You're going to need something to help you cope with the negativity in this facility. Despite everything, I'm proud that I've managed to stay sober while being here. But this place makes recovery harder than it needs to be.

. I've suffered from addiction from the age of 19 until 40. I've had a year or two clean time in between but always relax .. I've been to kirkbride a couple times and the longest I have stayed there was 8 months. So I think I'm pretty qualified to give an honest review about this place. This place is basically kensington inside of a facility. The staff about 94% of them or absolutely ignorant , don't want you to bother them, or constantly on their phone, if you are having any type of health issues or an emergency well it's not an emergency to them. One time I was having a severe asthma attack and told the staff that I needed my inhaler but they yelled at me and told me I would be okay and to go to my group and get off of the floor. Thank God I didn't listen to her and I ran around trying to find a nurse. I have seen staff pick up packages of coffee that were left in certain spots or cigarettes or anything else that people sell in there to make money and then the staff will get a cut. I've even had a supervisor lie and say that they found pills sewn into the lining of a little makeup purse that was dropped off to me. I had had problems with that supervisor during the one stay that I was there for 8 months. Because i lost weight while being in there instead of gaining tons of weight like a majority of the people. So she swore I had an eating disorder and was having nurses check me every so often and every time they would tell her that I am okay and there's no signs of me having an eating disorder . It got to the point where my mother had to come in and talk to her 101 and tell her that yes my daughter is usually really skinny but when she gets high she gains weight. That just burnt her butt so i was expecting to have issues with her during my last day there. Now if that happens and they find drugs of any kind in your stuff that's dropped off they have to take photos and make a report etc etc so when I demanded to see the proof because I knew that they didn't have any they told me that they didn't have to and it didn't matter and they were throwing me out. That was the last time I ever went into that building. If you really want to get clean and really want a facility that cares about your health and more do not go to kirkbride.

Just as a visitor point of view the front desk receptionist a young black Muslim woman is ignorant and has no business working with the public until she’s given some proper etiquette training.

Great place to go to. I liked it here alot would totally go back if I needed to. Only complaint was the food, always so salty.

I’ve tried numerous times to get into this place about six to be exact only once would I ever let in. Every other time they narcann me. I don’t know what the obsession with Narcan people is, but I’ve never had this issue with any other place even the hospital and then once they can you, they won’t let you in so I’m starting to think doing it on purpose to not have to accept people.

Facility it's OK. But the majority of the tecks really SUCK God forgive me but the food it's awful they just don't care it's all about they getting a check . I wish I can really give you a better picture of it but the word that describes them it's they suck they need to retain everybody that's if they where train . Welfare got tire of feeding them for 25 y + and put them here to work and in state road as correctional offers
